Tomorrow apparently, whilst most parents are at work.

Great PR exercise!

The explanation probably starts with M and ends with Egson.

this is nowt to do with megson

its not a football issue

it was a marketing event and the marketing folk didn't come up with the goods

you clown

discontent amongst the fans

retard :pardon:

OK, I see were you're coming from.

Ignore me, I'm a clown

Did I say Megson?

I was refering to our head of marketing, Magnus Manegson

May I just add though:

Unless all proceeds go to charity!

so they get 250k tax free and then give it to charity, with 20 per cent tax relief refund; still a fair night's work

so they get 250k

that would involve 10,000 people turning up and paying ?25 each - or 25,000 people turningup and paying ?10 each - neither would happen anyway, not in this day and age

Think they (players) should hand their heads in shame.

Maybe they could all do a Mellberg, and cough up enough to buy EVERY junior S.T. holder /junior white a shirt.

As for them needing to be at a training session- FFS, start pre-season training a day early then give them the fun day off! OR even start and finish the session early. Or is this likely to conflict with modern scientific training methods; with the lunar orbit screwing up fitness programs.

An absulute shambles; if players behave like this then they have no respect; with no respect they cannot have the heart, and determination etc to perform.

Please prove me wrong

Hang about, they've already got a season ticket for 3p and those that queued up got ?40 in vouchers which ain't that bad. Maybe they could all personally deliver them a PS3 too?

Just had a phone call from a WW poster who's there with his kids.

Apparently the club made it optional for players to come to this event and only Steinsson elected to turn up.

Kids have queued for over 2hrs for his autograph.

Piss poor show from overpaid w?nkers, if it's true.

yeah it was true mate my bro works at the ticket office n said exactly what u said! only steinsson n davies turned up! shows what a farce our club is, the club shop had to pay out ten grand in vouchers to everyone in compensation, forty quid per person! The players should be made to pay this back!

Less of the text speak please.

bro Brother

n = and

u = you

The players are obligated to turn up as the represent the town of Bolton and without that and the fans, they would not be in such a privileged position.

The club, the manager and players need to look long and hard at themselves and come to terms that they represent the town, not their own self satisfied ego.

Reality check is in order I think, but will they?

My sister and her three kids came up from the Bromsgrove area for this, and were bitterly disappointed that there was little effort from the playing staff to turn up. It is hard enough convincing them to continue to support bolton from 125 miles away, but they support the club with a passion....pity the players don't

The club would do well to remember that fans come from long distnces for events like this, for the players not to be there is simply not right, there is a duty for them and the manager to be there, the PR at bwfc has to be the worst in the premier league, even the signing of top players like Anelka and Elmander are damp squib affairs, the club should announce to the press that a player is to sign and then call a press conference to introduce the new player, this should include an oportunity for fans to get involved say a 30 minute photo opportunity, there has to be some sign of show biz and razzamataz, currently our PR is non league quality, everything about BWFC is low key, there is no glamour no buzz, we have to get that feel as a club that we are exciting if we are to attract new fans, I cannot believe that every opportunuty to maximise publicity is not milked 100%, it is a fooking shambles.

That post could do with emailing to Garty. :good:

Well don't bother sending it to Mr. Moores. I sent a well worded & sincere email a few weeks ago & have received no reply.

They've lost a season ticket sale & can only presume they really don't care.
