It's all over bar the shouting for him now, time to forgive and forget;

1. We go the best football of his career.

2. Made a tidy profit on him.

3. Without his goals we would not have stayed up in that first season.

4. He's not the brightest lad, blame his agent.

5. Barry Knight is still out there, somewhere.

   england striker
the shit tw@t !!!

:nea: Bet you were not saying that when he scored against the Scum.

Think I can forgive him now. He's gone the full circle, and he did a lot for us.

He was heavily linked with a move away in his last 12 months here, and eventually left. He just joins the long list of players who didn't know how good they had it at Burnden/the Reebok.

I still can't forgive him for celebrating that goal against us at the Reebok, but if I'd been getting such stick from the fans who used to worship me, think I'd celebrate in the same fashion.

when he was on top form just prior to the england appearance, ricketts was the best striker plenty on here have seen playing for us

and yes, i include anelka

Aye he was that! That half volley on the turn against the Arse in the last minutes at highbury was a moment to saviour! :good:

Did that keep us top of the league?

One on one and penalties - I've not seen many better.

what a waste...

fourth goal here

goal at leicester

the bloke had it all and those who suggest he wasn't worth that england call up are kidding themselves

was that the one where he ran literally through the defenders?

never did that enough IMO

he dumped the centre half on his arse

whoever it was it was impressive

could have been matt elliott

then, he leathered it exocet like into the steve staunton

Think it was Gary Rowett, who started whining like a bitch to the referee straight after.

Great day out.

Watching that, I know our support has worsened, and given that I was 12 years old at the time I'm sure I was oblivious to how many fans we used to take away. But still, I'm sure I used to enjoy away matches a lot more when I was younger.

I'm not sure whether it's age, or the way football has changed, but the atmosphere isn't the same either..

It's a big following though. And we sound pretty loud.

I was sat on the end of our fans, where the 4 goals went in and where Muzzy Izzet told some 5 year olds to fcuk off. One of their fans was giving me some proper grief before the game

................to being a lower league footballer

what a waste...

... and now, what a waist. You line 'em up and I'll nod 'em in.

we need Per Frandsen in his prime back.

top player and a nice bloke to boot.

kin hell casino you been on the extra strength lager?

I've watched those goals a lot of times

and one thing that always amuses me

Frandsens first free kick

there is one bloke in the ground who knows it's gone in before anyone else and cheers first for a split second before everyone else

I'd like to say it was me, but it wasn't

I spotted that too.

Always seems to amuse me as well. Is it one of the players?

What also amuses me is Tim Flowers' woeful goalkeeping on both Frandsens goals. Both on his near post. Think they signed Ian Walker that summer, but he was injured.
