They are not investing (in the case of Abramovich and the Arabs anyhow) - it's simply a hobby, somewhere to physcially park their collosal wealth.

I don't think it will affect Bolton's support.If the club get it right 24,000 Bolton fans will turn up whatever is going on in Manchester.The people who have stopped going won't go watching City,they'll watch noone.

Trouble is those who've stopped going might lose all interest and the worry is their children will pick any old popular shirt to wear.
