Reet, I missed the Fanzone due to no early bus service, so that's my gripe.

 

For those that where there, what was your opinion, moan, good, bad, indifferent?

 

Oh, and how did you get there early (considering you can't drink and drive/ carbon footprint etc) ?

Good effort by the club, enjoyed it yesterday.

 

Regarding the ale draught Fosters is as bad as bottled Fosters, as long as the service is quick I don't mind.

Seemed to work well. Only real thing I'd change would be getting rid of all of the Stewards that suddenly appeared half way through. Was there any need for them at all??

TBH the stewards kept well out of the way and were hardly noticeable,

I thought it was pretty good for the first one. The fella who organised it(didnt get your name sorry) seemed a decent bloke, wanted to listen asked for feedback and said he would read this site for any ideas.

 

Most of what has been suggested on here has already been pencilled in for the future, from the clubs point of view they didnt know if it was going to be a success or not and I think they were pleasantly surprised by how it went.

 

The club have dropped bollocks in the past but I think they now realise this and are trying to rectify it, they realise it has become a "them and us" and we all need to be on the same side if we are to progress which at the end of the day is what we all want is a successful BWFC.

 

My thoughts are pretty simple really the club have to stop thinking of us as customers and start treating us as fans again, make us feel appreciated, dont take the piss and take us for granted not a lot to ask if you think about it.

 

As for specifics regarding the fanzone I would suggest

 

The other venue, bigger so in turn can offer more ie soccer school for kids, mercandise etc

Earlier buses

Draught beer AND a bottle bar

Last orders 2.45 and announce it 2.30

Compare and a bit of music

 

also nice touch from the BWFC fella for letting my daughter think the reebok rebels teaching young girls cheerleading will happen because of her idea even though it was going to happen anyway

 

All in all 8 out 10, good start plenty of potential. Lets forget about past mistakes, thats gone we cant do anything about it. Concentrate on the future. Onwards and upwards.

was not just me who held the meeting with BWFC, not sure any of us did it for compliments, but thanks anyway, also in attendance from memory were traf/satan/bobcat/bristol white/happy wanderer, all bolton fans through and through who just wanted things to get better,apologies if I missed out anybody.

The idea of setting aside a bar for the fans at the Reebok was first mooted by an employee of the Wanderers before they left Burnden Park. In the years since he has consistently campaigned for it to no avail. To say the least he was a bit put out when as soon as Tony Kelly asked for it, it was agreed straight away.

Not having a go at Lee Birchall but the WW contingent suggested this to Mike Needham many moons ago. I knew his job was just to fob them off but give the impression the club were listening. This pretty much confirms it.

I think Mr Needham has been pushing for this and many other improvements.

First time in the FanZone for me and it gets a massive thumbs up.

 

Little-un loved it and bouncy castle kept her amused

 

 

Thought the setup and overal experience was excellent and the club must be applauded for listening to who ever they are listening too

Lots of tables, plenty standing room as well.

 

I liked that they played music while the Derby-Forest game was on.

 

Nice to see Garry Jones & Mick Whitlow. Can't believe they never mentioned Jones' hattrick against Citeh.

 

Only gripe was that I thought the guy from Tower FM was far too cheesy. He kept mithering folk.
