brookland white Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 ITK Not putting youngsters on bench as it costs money !!! Apparently they get an extra lump sum on their wages if on bench and also another lump sum if they are a used sub, so it has been decided to go with 3 plus keeper. Hunt is supposed to be injured !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
tomy taylor Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Don't the team travel down to London the day before?
brookland white Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 They travelled yesterday with the bare minimum squad so its a good job nobody fell ill this morning or we might not have had a starting eleven !!!!!!!!!!!! They only went down on a twenty seater coach as well to save money !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ph31 Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Why dont they do a raffle or something for fans to win a place on the bench?? may as well have someone there.
Sweep Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 1423: ARSENAL v BOLTON LINE-UPSArsenal: Almunia, Sagna, Toure, Djourou, Clichy, Eboue, Diaby, Denilson, Nasri, Adebayor, Van Persie. Subs: Fabianski, Vela, Ramsey, Wilshere, Bendtner, Bischoff, Gibbs. Bolton: Jaaskelainen, Basham, Shittu, Andrew O'Brien, Samuel, Taylor, Muamba, McCann, Gardner, Elmander, Davies. Subs: Bogdan, Riga, Fojut, Obadeyi. That subs bench is just ridiculous, unless Megson is proving a point to the board to show that we need to make at least 4 new signings - I would have though it would be worth including some of the kids, just for the sake of giving them the experience
Tombwfc Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Surprised they picked Basham infront of Sinclair Why not put Sinclair and some other of the young uns on the bench? Why bother? We can only use three, why take players who the coaching staff don't think are ready and so are never going to get on. Megson might aswell put himself on there.
superjohnmcginlay Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 1st team experiance for the younger lads i'd of thought would of been good for there development or are things that bad
tomy taylor Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 from the BBC Word on the street is that Bolton keeper Jussi Jaaskelainen may have picked up an injury in the dreaded warm-up, ahead of their game at Arsenal. Not 100% sure whether he plays, but will keep you posted. Not looking good at all! at least we'll get to see how good Bogdan is
Horwich Posted January 10, 2009 Author Posted January 10, 2009 Lets hope its not right. All we need is Bogdan to get sent off and we have no Bo Hansen on the bench.
Bwfcoup Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 (edited) BBC scared the shit out of me!!! Edited January 10, 2009 by Bwfcoup
Sweep Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 I'm suprised that Taylor is captain, I would have thought it would have been Gardner or Davies
Trotski Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Davies and Clichy meet again. Nine Arse players wearing gloves.....pussies.
igglepiggle Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 1507: "Eight Arsenal players are wearing gloves, nine including Almunia. Strangely our Brazilian Denilson isn't. Only their goalie is. But it is freezing." Marc, East Stand, via text on 81111 Good lads!
