You should visit Crawley you'd soon change your tune.

This company is/was based in Crawley, I've been there plenty as we have Xmas parties etc. at the Arora.

I was told a road lined with 18th century houses was a bit dodgy, fuck knows what they'd make of Top O'th Brow.

elmander also told a fan to fuck off when he miscontrolled a ball on the halfway line.

to be fair to the fan, the next time elmander pulled a balled out of the air, the fan did applaud the simply beautiful 1st touch.

Meanwhile others come on here to do it. We don't deserve another season in the Premier League, I can't see any other club with a "support" so negative towards the club.

I bet players like Cahill can't fucking wait to get away, we have 0% chance of attracting any decent players in the current climate. No decent manager would want the job either. It's like a disease consuming the club, I think it's too late for this website. Bolton must have more cunts per capita than any other town in England.

should they sit in a bath of shit as well ?????

DW here!!! (or should I say MG's gay lover!!!!) :-)

Firstly I DO NOT condone any chants at the match although I cannot stand the Ginger nutcase.

Before and after maybe, but during is a complete no no - just think of the players on the pitch!!

Secondly I do belive that the majority of fans do not want Megson but go along with the few who believe in him, becauyse they cannot think for themselves

Thirdly Ginger must be soft, as Russell, says - just think of the stick that the managers of Arsenal and Liverpool get of their own fans (and their fan base is bigger and they are richer clubs) and lets not forget the stick that the Brum manager gets. But lets not forget that where ever Ginger has been he has had stick - from Norwich ro WBA to Notringham Forest and so on... He should be used to it yet and still he gets upset. PATHETIC!

I am MG on BN and DW on here and nothing to do with amosc99 (although he is the point of my hatred and love making a fool of him whenenever I can)

Thing is, it's week in week out & it's pathetic. Lighten up? Russell, would you like to be treated like that? You're calling him thin skinned, I'd say he's pretty thick skinned. If it were me I'd have offered a few of the nobbers out by now, not just told them to fuck off.

What you are dropping me for traff - I am disappointed.

Only thing to do is to chant....

OFF! OFF! OFF! He is mine, traf!!

Back on thread, though.....

anyonw who chants DURING a match, should be thrown out of the ground, imho. It really doesn't help the players one iota. and DOES have a negative effect on the pitch.

It's all about context.

If the fans had spent the last 18 months singing megsons praises (not suggesting they should) and not being a bunch of abuse anti-productive twats. Then maybe he would have taken it as a joke and not taken it as he did. To be fair the fans didn't mean it as a joke, it was just abuse and it was the most vocal there were all game, which is pathetic.

I don't think megson has done a fantastic job at the club, however i don't believe he deserves the abuse he gets either. There is slow progress, perhaps the best that we could hope for.

in about 50 years we stayed up in the top division less than ten seasons

megson is responsible for 2

allardyce 6

greaves 1

in his first season, he matched allardyce

in his second, it looks like he'll better what allardyce did

and allardyce is the best manager we've ever had or likely to ever have

Out of just plain curiosity under which season of BSA did we get promotion to The PL - his 1st or 2nd or 3rd season?

his second - in his first we rolled over in a league cup semi v tranmere

he put steve banks in the goal ahead of jussi - can only assume that was in the days before he met harrison

2nd I think

That is what I thought, thanks

But as a case against what casino said, and no not having a go here, but I would assume that gaining promotion to the PL is far superior to just keeping us up, again, with Megson, especially in a season with very poor football teams both coming up and on freefall down.

No worries - but then it is difficult to say because of the strength of the weaker teams in those days, compared to todays weak teams (ourselves included) - before the rich clubs became the super-rich and the paupers became even poorer.

So you would rather it was more of a funeral atmosphere

But its the anti-megson and anti-(player) chants that do not help duirng the match.

I definitely do not like Megson (although I am not one for we should be top 5 we should be europe all time brigade), but do believe in the other chants that promote positiveness during the match (such as one and only....). If one wants to remonstrate against a manager or player(s) then it should be done before, after or at half time but NOT during the match itself.
