Yanks Slating The Nhs

People such as scientist Stephen Hawking wouldn't have a chance in the U.K., where the National Health Service would say the life of this brilliant man, because of his physical handicaps, is essentially worthless.

Stupid feckers.

Must be his accent that fooled them

Half a story Mick, details man!

Long story short

Obama wants to introduce an NHS style system into the US

The republicans don't want him to so in true right wing nutter tradition come out with odd ball statemants like the one Mick has quoted.

Them repulicans must be thicker than an alcoholic's piss.

Everyone knows Stephen Hawking got that voicebox off Bolton Primary Care Trust.

Are they claiming Hawking as their own then?

I'd be highly amused if he started spouting all that clever bollocks he does in a New Bury accent! Happen I'm immature.

I feel a video coming on...

About sums it up

Are they claiming Hawking as their own then?

Of course they are. Hawking has rubbished the statement and said he wouldn't be alive if it wasn;t for the NHS.

Any of you seen Fox News ?

I posted this on another place a few days back in an early morning rage.

I've been off work for three weeks so I've had the pleasure of seing quite a bit of it. expletive me, it's just a Republican Party Broadcast with each and every one of the presenters frothing at the mouth over the new health care plans. O'Reilly, Hannity, Gretta van Diesel, or whatever the wonky gobbed boot is called, and that kunt Glenn Beck just needs a expletiveing gook hiding.

And they never have any opposition on their shows, just the 3 or 4 big mouthed cretins all shouting at the same time. A lot of them big toothed bimbos with big blond hairspreyed heads screaching and whining and needing a expletiveing slap.

And you know what ? It'll be exactly the same tommorow, and I'll probably watch it and get wound up again, and shout out "thank fukk I'm not a fukkin' Yank "

Fow news, you are a disgrace. Fuck off !

Is it too early for a drink ?

expletiveing gook hiding

Did Beckham nearly get this on that other thread?

Loft, dont you just want to stand on the street & lick the window of the studio really hard? I've thought about doing it and am more than surprised I've never seen anyone else do it. Is it a real street do you think?

no, err yes.

what are you on about ?

no, err yes.

what are you on about ?

That programme on Fox News where they're all sat at in what appears to be a living room set where they all merrily discuss right wing sort of things. There's a window behind them which appears to look onto a New York Street. There's folk always walking by.

Edit: Is it not called Fox & Friends?

Yank cockends. Look at the state of their health system - insurance companies try everything they can to get out of paying for medical treatment that the policy holder is entitled to believe they covered for. Big business rules over there.

The only thick fuckers are the people buying the BBC line that no insurance = no healthcare in America.

The NHS is perfect - it's just a shame America has a system with demonstrably better outcomes, which doesn't require 10% (per capita) of the taxpayer funding, and where it's illegal for treatment to be withheld from anyone, regardless of their insurance.

Anyone who thinks a country our size should have a state run industry that's the 3rd biggest employer in the world needs their head looking at.

Healthcare for all = good, assuming a state run monopoly is the only way to get this = moronic.

Few facts for you.

US health spending per capita is greater then ours, we have lower infant mortality and greater life expectancy.

I disagree on almost every point you've made there. Health Insurance companies in America often have their own panel's of Doctors and Lawyers, many of whom are paid bonuses dependant on the amount of medical insurance claims they manage to TURN DOWN! The sick may well get emergency medical treatment, but some little caveat will leave the poor unfortunate paying the bill for a long time to come.

And these demonstrably better outcomes? For whom exactly? Certainly not some guy on welfare who's got terminal cancer.

Personally, I think the NHS is one of the things of which this country can be truly proud. If the NHS does employ 10% of the population (something that I've never heard before and can't comment on) then good. I'm glad the state is employing people to care for the ordinary man or woman in the street instead of pilling it into a new Eurofighter!

I'm only going off personal experience here, but whenever I've had the misfortune of having to go to hospital, it's been first rate care that I've been provided with. Both my Grandfather's died whilst in their care and were allowed to do so with dignity and dilligent care.

IMHO - get rid of the NHS at your peril. Whether it will work in America where there isn't this culture of free healthcare and a lot of VERY powerful people with vested interest in the money to be made out of the sick and dying is another story. I wish him all the luck in the world, but I think Obama will be in for a hard uphill slog on this one. Still, if he hadn't just given away a few trillion dollars of real money to the banks so they could begin lending out more make believe money - he might have the cash to pay for it a few times over!!

FUCK OFF TORY

Where have they said this? Think you are just making things up now - go work for Murdoch.

There are forty million people in America that don't have access to decent health care. There is access to some healthcare for all but what you get is pitiful if you don't have health insurance. If this was a third world country nobody would be suprised, but we're talking about the richest country on the planet for god's sake! Everybody should be getting free dick extensions and boob jobs in with the amount of cash they've got!
