Jimmy Carr

I was watching some of his stand-up over the weekend.

Possibly the funniest man on the planet in my eyes

However, his stand-up is good.

Hopefully so did he.

I did think he sold himself out a bit there. Even on fantasy football he was carrying the can for Baddiell who I thought was never funny.

His continual comments of 'I love chelsea, I'm jewish and I love w?nking" wore thin after the first episode.

But watched Skinner in his last tour, and was fully impressed.

Only thing I can't find is that series of 'Blue Heaven' that he was in. Channel 4 showed it before he was famous, any help much appreciated.

5 mins in! and all ready its piss funny...

Good eh?!

The missus didnt find the bit about who Russell Howard looks like funny though!

That was a bit borderline to be fair even for me

Russell Howard, there's another cunt. No time whatsoever for comedians like him and Jimmy Carr who just stand there and effectively read out a pre-prepared script. None of them could say something spontaneously funny if their lives depended on it. I went seeing a scouser called John Bishop the other night who took the piss out of two students from Altrincham for the first half hour, all made up on the spot and the best laughs of the night. Reason for that is he is a naturally funny bloke. Jimmy Carr is a dick. I could read out that same script he's got and be miles funnier.

Russell Howard is completely out of his depth whenever he's alongside people like Frankie Boyle an that little bald bloke.

Has anyone seen Daniel Kitson live as i've got opportunity to see his show in a few weeks? I only know him from Phoenix Nights

Seen Peter Kay and Spikey live but wondered if this bloke was worth a look in.

For me the dogs is Frank Skinner, and that's that Frank Skinner that you see in live stand up, rather than his appearances on odd telly programmes now and again.

Have you seen Jimmy Carr live, rather than the appearances they show on odd telly programmes now and again? I can assure you, he's an extremely witty fucker in real life.

John Bishop is absolutely hilarious live, like you said just a funny person who can adlib as well as performing scripted jokes.

Rhod Gilbert, despite being Welsh, is also very very funny live.....

Frankie Boyle and Sean Lock make me piss me sen.

Don't forget Lee Mack, Reginald D Hunter, Sadowitz....in fact, I could be here forever.

For the record - I think Carr is as funny as a midget when you're drunk :drinks:

Agree on Russell Howard - he's poo

:good:

Listen to his free podcast on itunes

How did the crowd take his joke about soldiers losing limbs?

Is he still doing the "your mum" stuff?

The crowd all laughed as a reaction to the limb-loss joke, then there was a bit of a collective gasp when folk realised what they were laughing at

He made a comment about it and that it was going to be reported in the Sunday papers

I thought it was funny

Traf, there was a bit of that kinda stuff, but mostly not the well versed ones so not too bad

How did the crowd take his joke about soldiers losing limbs?

What a cock he is thinking that's funny,

What a cock he is thinking that's funny,

I think it's fair to say that he doesn't think that them losing limbs is the funny bit.

he,s about as funny as catching my dick in my zipper

What a cock he is thinking that's funny,

the man has spent more time working with injured soldiers than most of those who've come out in condemnation of his joke

he,s about as funny as catching my dick in my zipper

That would be amusing, though!

What a cock he is thinking that's funny,

and i quote

Take it for what it is.................a joke............you miserable fcuker

This wasn't you then?

Actually saw Jim Jeffries later the same evening. Funny but very close to the bone.

As part of the same bill, Michael McIntyre was on.

One of my mates heckled him as he was awful which prompted some students to defend him. Very nearly kicked off in the foyer afterwards.

no but that attack certainly hasnt done his career any harm! its the first thing anyone says when you mention his name!
