Moderators Horwich Posted November 10, 2009 Moderators Share Posted November 10, 2009 IMO laptops under ?300 (new) are not really fit for purpose. Well, I wouldnt get one. Normally end up with some 1gb ram bit of shit. If you want something of decent value, your better off getting a desktop. You can pick some decent ones up for about ?325, but if your sticking to under ?300, I wouldnt get a laptop.
frank_spencer
if you want it to run Footy manager it can't have an integrated graphics card, so that will rule out most cheap laptops
Traf
Right nobbers: let's cut to the fucking chase for once, shall we? Casino wants a laptop for surfing the net and playing Football Manager. What are the minimum specifications he needs and how cheaply can it be done?

Gonk
right then computer nerds. the processor on this is it any good? or do i want at least a core 2 duo? Depends what you want to do with it - If you're going to be doing something processor intensive like encoding video on a regular basis, then core 2 duo is going to be better / faster at carrying that out. If you're just watching Flash video porn, it'll cope admirably
