Not wanting to be too harsh on the big man whilst he's ill.

 

but it's typical allardyce bullshit, the man doesn't know when to keep his gob shut.

the problems at the the club stem from allardyce leaving us with an elderly squad and gutting the back room staff when he fecked off to newcastle

He is spot on, we should have backed him at the time.

This is why I don't like the bloke, he's a rent a quote. At least he's stopped refering to himself as Sam Allardyce in the third person.

He just doesn't seem to be able to move on, well, actually that's not true, he had no problems doing that, but mentally, he really does seem a little bitter about Megson getting money & him not. A couple of things here; possibly Davies didn't have the money at the time & also, with the bung stuff, did that ever go away, did Davies ever trust him with his money? I certainly don't know and no one on here does, but it's just a thought to put out there.

I thought he took over from Sammy Lee.

i agree though its always been about survival there was a couple of years when we had a fine competitive side under him.

He had earned the chance to spend some money. Would it have led to bigger and better things or gone pear shape? who knows! what I do firmly believe though is that he is a far better manager than Gary Megson.
