And to answer your question, players that come in on the cheap, fail to play well then leave to go to another club.. i consider that a failure... We dont... west ham spent around ?9m on Savio then flogged to fiorentina a year later. Blackburn Spent 7.5mil and James Beattie on Davies 11 years ago (so a fortune once to take inflation into account) and he scored just he one goal and played 23 games sometimes players don't work out. we spent (excluding Elmander) what nowadays is considered the going rate for 'decent' experienced players (4-5mil) and thats what we got. Marsailles wouldnt be intrested if he was shite.. just hasnt hit form yet..(38 games 7 goals aint too bad a stat and is very close to Davies goals ratio). Klasnic got slated before he signed for us and played shite in the England game.. yet hes scored a fair few already..(dont forget he is only on loan to either get him match fit.. or save a few bob on wages ) Knights not been brilliant but must have had something there for megson to buy him.. his confidence has to be at a low aftre scoring a fair few own goals.. give him chance and he will improve..
