Election Debate

Clegg Certainly play the "honesty is the best policy" card tonight.

I guess the big question is do voters believe him.

Could there be a major change on the horizon?

What Clegg says is irrelevant

The big loser of the evening was Gordon Brown, apart from showing 20 different ways to dislocate his jaw whilst taking a breath, he just came out with the same old b@llocks.

Very true but in the same way clegg had nowt to lose, brown didn't really have much to win.

It was all about defence and trying to control past fuck ups on his part.

And he was shit at that control. Even Though he probably had the better facts.

Clegg went for the classic Lib Dem, all things to all men strategy.

Trying to portray himself as the sensible responsible one when he wants a ?17bn tax cut when we have a stonking structural deficit - utterly childish, student politics, god helps us if they every get past 3rd.

agreed, he is going for the man on the street who only voted labour because his father did. The man who is against anything and everything Tory. But now wants brown out because fags and booze are expensive.

Sweet talk the easy target if you like.

Correct!!

The Torys love to fuck the working man.(oh,sorry scarghill did that!,bollocks.)

Maybe in days of old the working class were not treated with the respect they deserved by the Tories, i think those days are over - as the working class are now viewed as the new middle class by the major parties, Cameron promises to look after hard working people, look after families and old people, and also to cut immigration - my guess is we'll soon find out if he's true to his word, and i hope so - because 13 years of Labour rule has fcuked this country up imo.

David Cameron is owner of a totally unearned wealth of 30 million quid. He wouldn't know what was

important to the working man if he was bashed over the head with a shovel and forced to listen. He's not on

this planet and is fucked if an interviewer forces him off carefully scripted soundbites.

Brown has the harest job of the lot in these debates as he's got 13 years of Labour to defend, and there have bee

a fair few disasters in that time and he's been around for them all. Cameron is not accountable for what

he says, nor is Clegg. All those things considered, plus the recession etc, Cameron should be ffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuckin miles ahead and yet he has mangaed to acheive nothing more than a vulnerable narrow lead. Speaks volumes

for the cunt and his cuntish party.

Where does all the money the government money spent in the public sector come from? A simple economic lesson for you, it comes from wealth generated in the private sector then taxed. The country will go the pan with all this debt and unaffordable public spending Brown's happy with.

the tories are better for the working man than nu labour champagne socialists

What summed that fella up for me was when the multi millionnaire Old Etonian, when summing up, looked into the camera and said "We are all in this together"

We? Fecking we?

Reet, I try to follow politics, and im not exactly clued up on most political issue's n policies.....but....

Brown looks like Ani will do in 10 years time, after a night on the Chan.

Cameron is one smarmy, stuck up tw?t.

Clegg came across better than the other 2, but played the under-dog well..."Look at these 2 arguing old ladies....vote for me, im not arguing"

All tw?ts that will or some way f?ck up some things and make other things better, you just have to decide which of these thngs

are more important to you.

OR just vote who you think is the fastest looser.

Anybody else hear Cameron's story

"I met a 40 year old black man in Plymouth who came over here when he was 6. He served 30 years in the navy"

Eh? How's that work then David?

Now you see there is the dilema for me...

I work in New Build Social Housing and Labour have certainly been good for that area...would the Conservatives ...I don't think so...but there will always be a housing shortage....

Now do i go against a life long blue vote and vote for what will be good for my industry ignoring the fact the Brown and Blair have..

Nearly bankrupted the country

Dissloved our heritage to create the multi cultural "dream"

Took us into war on a lie

My tax i now pay looks like it could bank rool a third world country and what do i see for it

Created a country where no one will take responsibility for any of their actions, or have the confidence to do "whats right" for fear of being labelled rascist, a bully or worse stabbed to death

I also can't stand the one eyed slack jawed scottish cunt...But do like Cameron's slick think on your feet approach...

They are all theiving, lying slimy cunts out for their own gain...

I'll remember that if ever I am likely to be in the company of a Spanish striker  .

Never ceases to amaze me that there are still throwbacks to the 70's who believe this shiyte.

No one f?cks the working man more than the Labour Party. Suggest you do a search on how many millionaire hypocrites your party has son. 'We'll keep the red flag flying high' my arse. Keep Moet & Chandons profits flying high more like.

You just keep donating more through your union dues mate. Wouldn't like to see those nice fellows having to eat baked beans or similar now, would you?

At least with the Conservatives, you know exactly what you are getting. Yes, some inherited wealth can prompt some jealousy but if the UK needs anything at present, it is sound economic management. To achieve that result, it is a one horse race and history confirms it.

Fucking lucky it's a Friday night.

If the markets were open tomorrow there'd be a run on the pound - I just hope things aren't as mental in the Sunday polls or the downward spiral starts now.

(I've learnt in the past that when I write things assuming people know the consequences, I end up reposting 30 mins later, so for total clarity -

run on the pound ---> higher government debt repayment charges ------> country further in debt --------> run on the pound etc

if you want to make that feel more personal, change the word government for mortgage, because rates are going to rise.

This retarded country is going to get what it deserves, and you won't be able to blame the Tories for it this time.

There's plenty of folk here with those qualities & a desire to make this place a better country to live in.

Why don't you go & live somewhere else then?

Because I'm in the middle of professional qualifications - trust me, I'm praying for the right result this time to give me 5 years grace to ship out elsewhere.

Plenty of other countries are going to bugger themselves up, but it won't be as painful as being present when your own country goes down the drain.

I don't think people realise how far up the creek we are - we have no divine right to live the nice lifestyle we've had - countries are constantly rising and falling, and we've been falling for too long now, and have entirely used up any credit we had built.

The welfare state we have is entirely unfundable, so you can vote for it all you like, but it won't be here in 25 years time.

Well the Torys have decided on drastic immediate cuts in Councils and civil service. Labour will be cutting but nothing on the scale of the Torys hence Cameron aint getting my vote. I just hope to god the LibDems dont win the locals in Smithills..
