Before rad 1 we didn't have a lot of choices apart from radio caroline and luxumburg, now how many can remember them?

Remember being in Queens park as a teenager listening to Johm Peel on the radio, very flower power stuff and anti establishment, new music being played, didn't like the new type of digitilsed mowtown stuff but went with English home grown talent..Pink Floyd The move, the who Hendrix, Cream loads more, still would sooner listen to any of that than any of this carp they put out now as music.

yesterday morning sat in that crazy traffic (2.5 hours to travel my usual 15 min journey), i caught the 1st 30mins of cock fm's top 10 at 10.

 

1st time in a long time, and thoroughly enjoyed it. proper music from early 90's. IMO

Have you listened to John Peel's son on R6? Tom Ravenscroft I think he's called. Haven't heard one of his shows yet but I'm curious to hear what he's like on air. Also, Jarvis Cocker isn't a bad listen on the same channel.

Cinncinati featuring live reports of the ball game between the Philidelphia Felchers and the New York Gloryhole's at 1.30 in the afternoon on Radio 1 has got to be worth their wages.

Cinncinati featuring live reports of the ball game between the Philidelphia Felchers and the New York Gloryhole's at 1.30 in the afternoon on Radio 1 has got to be worth their wages.
