Southport v Th'Owls on at mo,

When was last time we were in the first round and who did we play, I seem to remember we played Lincoln away on the box think Phil Brown scopred not sure what round that was though.

It will be the 92/3 promtion season, the last year we were out of the top 2 divisions.

I recall a young Jason McAteer playing against Rochdale in the FA Cup. Scored a goal too. What year and what round?

Just watched Rochdale v FC Scum down here. Much as I despise DMB's and their derivatives, the FC Scum supporters were impressive.

Reach round 3 and draw the other DMB's? Intersting prospect.

Being a chronic Man U hater, must admit having seen FCUM five times, three times against Leigh and twice against Holker Old Boys, found them to be a sound bunch and never had any mither with them, but they are hated by most of the Non League lot.

Interesting statement on AFC Wimbledon's Offical site after today's draw:

Depending on the outcome of two replays, we have been drawn against Milton Keynes in the FA Cup 2nd round to be played on 27 November.

Most people know the way that Milton Keynes obtained their football club. It was wrong then and it is still wrong now, which makes this fixture very painful for us. However, when we entered the FA Cup we understood that this might happen and we will go about our business professionally and complete the fixture. But we would have preferred that it hadn?t happened. We have no further comment to make at the moment.

AFC Wimbledon had a point at the time, but things have changed since then.

I hope MK stuff em

love the early rounds of the Cup. no frills football on crap pitches. watched the fa cup pro last night and it was top viewing. that lump taking the penalty for fleetwood was quality.

So FC United were formed as a breakaway from commercialism, SKY football, Friday night and Sunday afternoon kick offs, a club for football people, etc etc etc.

And what happens when the first bit of tv money comes along???????????????????????????????????

Fooking sell outs, just like the lot they got disillusioned with.

AFC Wimbledon are a well-run, local team, owned by the fans, committed to encouraging local kids to support their local team. I hope they stuff the MK bastards.

And you northern monkeys, keep your noses out of our arguments.

How so? They were fucked over big time.

Just checked and Wimbledon to MK is 62 miles, as is Bolton to Llandudno. If back in Div 4 times someone had moved us there in an attempt to build a new north Wales team - Cymru Wanderers say - how would you have felt? Christ, there's people whinge about moving a few miles to Horwich.

Fair play to them - it's a million miles fom the FCUM scenario, and I hope they get them and shit 'em.

If its 62 miles to Llandudno from Bowton, you have been sold a very dodgy sat-nav from a shady scouser what lives about 1032 miles away from the East Mids.rolleyes.gif

oooh

2nd round in 93?

and what a goal, didn't he take it round half the players?

or was that against Millwall in the league?

or are they just being diplomatic?
