for once you can't blame the bin men if they can't get the wagon down an ungritted street. blame god for the snow. when we are an islamic state it will be always 40.c all bless allah

If the end of last year is anything to go by, you will have another 6 weeks to wait.

They didnt come down here this week either.

& if any of them are on OT gritting I hope their cocks fall off!

No bin men seen in athy for the past week

I work in the waste industry and where I am (In North West Cumbria) they are working harder than normal (which to be fair isn't hard) to get the bins lifted before Christmas. That said, if there were no tips on the go they wouldn't be seen outside the pubs.

A Wagon can take ?1000 a week or more in tips not counting the alcohol.

You dont believe in bin men do you !!??!!

In fairness, I have some sympathy with them at the moment which is an admission in itself. As much as I want empty ins for Xmas, I don't really want them driving 25 tonne of metal down our street which has 3 inches of snow and ice compacted to the road surface bouncing of various cars, fences, and kids.

What fucks me off is why they cannot be redeployed to clear snow or carry out other 'civil' tasks without some commie cunt of a union twat playing holy fuck.

exactly getting the bin waggons through most estates is a cunt of a job at the best of times never mind with the added complications of the ice and snow.

most of the waggon drivers and any of the lads with a HGV licence will be out driving the gritters, but no idea what the lads carting the bins about are doing.

no idea what the lads carting the bins about are doing.

Spunking council tax away in the pub. Fact.

Anyway, how does this sound?

My lads have done next to fuck all for over week with the snow and ice because we like to use that concrete stuff which doesn't really like sub-zero tempatures. I'm paying staff lads for sporadic waste of time working, the subbies are satawom earning nowt.

However, your lot have miles of snow on your footpaths and highways and collectively a bone idle workforce protected by the unions who fully endorse the 'oh its cold so I'm not bothering today attitude'

My lot have shovels, don't have glass backs, are not afraid of a bit of snow and dont entertain the 'ooh you can't work in the cold' bollocks, bt are sat doing fuck all.

You pay me, I clear the snow, the lads keep working, nobody loses a fucking fortune, the economy keeps churning and the world carries on turning.

I really should be PM by now.

or even better, the council wallahs clear the snow

Can they not fit snowploughs to the front of bin wagons?

Can't be rocket science, surely?

or even better, the council wallahs clear the snow

No chance.

I've heard tale today of a friend who has now refused to work over the Xmas period as rota'd because the location of said work is different to normal; she complained and the union mon has given her their backing. there is no such thing as 'tough shit' with that lot.

Get fucking shut and ask if any one of the 5 million out of work would like to take her place.

We've said it before with the civil lot, they could get rid of 50% of them, give a 20% pay rise to the good 'uns, and no fucker would notice the difference.

anywa, realtime + 1, beenys norks

merry fcuking christmas

I cant be looking at them now.

Our eldest has 4 mates round for a birthday sleep over; knocking one out downstairs over that is a one way road to social services.

shes got her legs out and a pair of timbers/cats

The Bighton gig? just got it on now. How many stiff nipple shots have been on so far?

What a fucking arse in those jeans.

Oh aye.

Why cat thay ask if we would all take our bins to the end of the streets, mak eit easier.

I certainly would, and I would for all my elder neighbours too.

According to the Bolton Council webshite they are being put to good use gritting the town centre.Bollocks! One lad we know who "works" on the bins has started his crimbo hols early. His silly wife has put it all over Facebook for everybody to read.I live on a main road and all credit to the council they have hammered it with gritters and snowploughs this last week so why the fcuk cant the toss pot binmen risk their lives and empty the bins round here?It also states on said webshite that you can leave up to three extra bags(tied)and they will remove them next time round.Mine will be out there and thats where they will stay.I dont give a flying fcuk if the local wildlife/Belmont tramp rips them open, they will be there till this poxy council move 'em.Lazy fcukin wankers the lot of 'em.Come the revolution they will be first against the wall.Tossers!

have you fuckwitts never heard of the BINRUN people leave beer and cards with cash in for the lazy cunts at xmas.... get out early take what you want like santa fill your sack :pardon:

More snow related than binmen related, but you know the community service yobs that you see in summer tidying church yards and parks in tee shirts and smoking fags and pissing about with their mates?

Why aren't they shoving a spade or a brush along Newport Street? Snow is all slushy and just want scooshing down the grid.

No doubt Health and Safety, and Human Rights will come into it.

Are your waste collections not contracted out ? Ours are down here so from what I can tell the binmen work for the contractors and wouldn't be undertaking other council duties when they can't collect.

This is snow joke.

So, the bin men are on an early holiday just because of a bit of snow. What happens in Sweden?

When they start work again in a couple of weeks they will be paid overtime to clear the back log, does that make sense? Great so they get extra holidays and paid more for the pleasure of doing what they should have done.

with what money?

We have done it last year in areas where the local councillors have chipped in some of their area forum budget.

I do agree the lads emptying bins should be given shovels and bags of grit and sent out around the town
