  • We've fallen down to 7th after losing by the odd goal away at Chelsea and Liverpool and people are moaning, we are as bad as any set of fans in the land.   Or maybe it's just Ww posters, in which ca

  • Really? I thought we were appalling.

  • When are narrow defeats with a depleted squad at Stanford Bridge and Anfield bad results? We put up a decent show at both games and didn't get battered. We look like we are going to avoid relegation

Fook off, Cahill is better than Bobby Moore !

Some seem to think so Pablo, and hopefully more and more people outside of our club think so so his reputation and subsequently his price will rise.

Don't get me wrong he is good, and has the potential to be very good, but he is not good enough for a club of our size to hold on to him and miss out on ?17m.

We have shown that we can cope without him, and that was with a full back covering him, for some reason Knight seems to play even better possibly because he has the responsibility of being the main centre back.

The biggest problem with selling Cahill is getting the right player to replace him, if we can get that right and for preferably a lot less than ?17m then IMO he won't be such a big loss.

Some absolute shite posted on this site about how amazing your players are, and how many millions they are worth etc, but you are spot on.

I like Cahill, but he is nowere near as good as some on here think.

But he would strole into our team.....at every position on the field at the moment.

35,400 piss poor but doesn't get a mention on the BBC site

That will teach them for charging ?41

Well done to the 800 or so whites who went

We win, then we are class.

We lose, then we are shite.

Those are the rules. Even if it's an offside last minute winner, at Anfield, with our best player out, a 19 year old debutant, 3 outfield subs, 3 days since playing Chelsea away and still being 7th in the league.

I'm as pissed off as anyone and genuinely thought we would go on to win at half time, but we didn't and a win against Wigan on wednesday will put us back on track.

I hate football sometimes!

We are a good side at home, enjoyable to watch.

However we seem to try and do the same away from home which is a different kettle of fish. A bit naive i think. Especially as we dont particularly defend well as a unit. Sometimes away from home youve got to play ugly, as wolves did midweek, and grind out results rather than going toe to toe with teams.

sighs, shakes head, turns round and leaves the room.

it is like catching the kids eating their selection boxes when you have told them not to.

disappointing but not surprising.

The thing is, you know the ones who come on after a match, win, lose or draw and will divert any thread onto how player x was shite and should be dropped. Each has their own favourite to have a dig at. Other, more glass-half-full type of posters have the complete opposite opinion and will defend their player even if he has a shit game.

It's what makes boards like this work. If we didn't all have different opinions of who did what well, who did it badly and who shouldn't even get a game at Bury, all threads would be a subject in the first post and about 100 following posts all declaring their agreement with the poster.

Depends on your reference point. He is miles better than Jagielka who must be one of the most one footed/worst headers of the ball to play for England.

The complete lack of perspective about what Coyle has managed to achieve this season with a relatively small squad and little or no money to spend is more of an issue than whether people choose to criticise or defend individual players. Although how anyone can already write off a player making their league debut is beyond me.

Maybe it's just owe fuckers like me that can see the bigger picture, see where we've come from and see what a fanstatic job Coyle is doing. Understand this, the fella is special and when he's gone it'll be a fuck of a long time before we see his like again

Nah, Cahill is not even the best centre back at Bolton these days, does that mean Zat Knight for England ??

Definately. And maybe it'll be the negativity festering among the supporters that drives him away eventually.

we were superb today and put in a fantastic display

there, happy now??

What about Petrov though? Surely we're in unison? It's not like he did or didn't do anything in the game, he's generally shite.

To come within a minute of getting a point with the team we put out was a miracle, that team was very young and inexperienced, full credit to them they gave it everything 2 days after running there hearts out at chelsea, it is an absolute disgrace that referees have cost us points in both games, well done to the lads a very brave effort despite no points.

just 2 changes from normal and mark davies who has played quite a lot, so really there are still 8 first teamers

I've seen very little in Petrov since his arrival to suggest he's what we need in our team. The goal against spurs a highlight in 5 or 6 months of lowlights.

Today against liverpool he opted to shoot from 30 yards rather than try to get the ball into a more dangerous position. Liverpool were probably thinking the easiest form of defence is give the ball to petrov so he can put it into the stands!

Pablo Why don't you concentrate on your own teams shitness, most Bolton fans know where are team is and how good our players are, we do not need Evertonians preaching to us from the bullshit school of football science that Everton purport to be.

Robinson, Holden, Chung yong, 2 out of 3 are probably our best players this year and the other is class but under performing, add to that the ref and linesmen 12th and 13th man for the scousers, have a look around the leagues we get less than 20,000 home fans at the Reebok and are still 7th in the premier league, the best and most expensive league in the world, that means we are probably in the top 25 teams in the world, without Eddie Davies we would be nowhere.

a left back making his debut in the league, our player of the season missing, (holden) no one to bring on to bolster midfield only 3 outfield subs....

when you saw the teams did you think we had a good team out ?

yes and a team that was more than capable of beating a side in the shit with no confidence, no confidene in the manager not playing well, gerrard missing etc yet we have this fuckin mental block that we cant beat a big club

a shrink is desperately needed at the club

I don't know what has been said on here, can't be arsed looking, but, I think we were fucking robbed, again, they absolutely shit themselves thinking Bolton would roll over for them, I have said time and again that these big clubs will do owt to deceive the ref etc to gain advantage, Gerrard. like Terry the other night need to wear a black kit for games because how they approach the ref at EVERY decisiopn is WRONG

FFS, some hysterical reactions on here. Too many rising to anewmans bait (J's just on the wind up FFS).

Not our best performance but, as others have said, losing by one goal at Anfield and Stamford Bridge is not wrist slashing material.

Coyle has done a brilliant job and we all know some great victories are just around the corner. Same moaning c?nts will be back on here praising everything about the club when it happens. So has it always been with Bolton fans and, probably, many other clubs fans around the country.

Just folk venting as they probably don't have a cat to kick.
