no balls Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 The big issue here is the "think before you speak" mantra that the fat bearded wanker, Martin Samuel, alludes to at the end of that article. We are getting dangerously close to living in a society where grown adults are being discouraged from having an opinion (or atleast discouraged from vocalising their opinion), and where mature humans are effectively being told what to think and say at all times, regardless of when or where they are. All that should have happened in this case, is that Andy Grey and Richard Keys admit they were wrong, and that the female "referees assistant" actually did a good job, and that they were only engaging in light-hearted banter anyway, the likes of which goes on every single second of every day, between men and women alike. It's fucking pathetic that shit like this even makes the news. I'm sure I remember Claire Balding making a "men always leave the toilet seat up" gag aimed at Ally McCoist on 'Question of Sport' a while back. Should we dig that clip out of the archive so we can proclaim her a sexist cavewoman? (Rhetorical question) No. If someone says something that immediately proves to be incorrect and inherently stupid, take the piss out of them. Don't sack them and make them out to be a beast. They're only fucking words after all. No, you are completely right, which is odd! I can't be arsed with PC, don't be upsetting people shite & as a woman, I don't have an issue with their opinions, they're entitled to them and really it is only them who now appear to be the stupid ones. BUT do take issue with their utter arrogance, that they did it in a schoolboy manner lads together without knowing if she was any good or not & probably wouldn't apologised if it wasn't for the media whoohar.
jules_darby Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 I'm 100% sure she can do a better job than some of the shite we've gone with whistles and flags. Fair fucks to her. If she was my dowter I would be the proudest man alive seeing her run the line in the biggest league on the planet. But the fact is if I want to remind her that its coming up to tea time and she should be getting off home then I fucking well will, just like I will call the linesman a bald blind twat or the ref a useless bent cunt. If that makes me a lesser man than the next man then to be truthful I could not care a shiny shit becuase I know I dont really mean it and I'd hope she's got big enough bollocks (metaphorically of course) to stand up and prove my own ignorance. If she's going to melt then unfortunatly, the football ground isnt for her. Agree with that Though may need to change "Oi Liner you bald twat", to "Oi Liner do you have a bald twat?"
Traf Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 I bet poor Sian's quite embarrassed by it all. Bless her.
Smiffs Posted January 25, 2011 Author Posted January 25, 2011 (edited) On the other hand..... There is a woman sits behind me. Fower than a summons. You know when a bloke shouts a random comment, whatever it might be, then it's just football noise, lost among a thousand other dulcit tones. When she does, nomatter whether she is right wrong or indifferent, she just sound ike an irrational bitch who should be undergoing some sort of hormone therapy. Edited January 25, 2011 by Smiffs
no balls Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 I bet poor Sian's quite embarrassed by it all. Bless her. I'm sure she is, I'm also sure she's taking it all in her stride as she knew some nobbers'd say something. You'd hope their good ladies gave them a crack or promised there'd be no tea/legover until they sort their heads out. P.S. I bet Fathead's hoping they get sacked.
enzo gambaro Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 & probably wouldn't apologised if it wasn't for the media whoohar. Bit harsh to call her that - this is the first time she's been in the papers.
Boby Brno Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 I don't know if anyone else saw the outburst by Garth Crooks on Saturday on Finalscore. He was raging about the West Ham player, Piquionne sending off for celebrating with a second yellow card. He blamed the referee for costing WH 2 points (as Everton equalised minuets later). Even had a go at Mark Bright for agreeing with the referees decision. I thought his outburst on live television was far more serious than some light hearted banter off air by those 2 pariah's Gray and Keys.

Crooks, Bright & Piquionne are all black and it was on the BBC: they're too shit scared to upset the Racial Harmony lot.
no balls Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 That Crooks bloke black, white, yellow pink or green, is a rum looking fucker.
Whites man Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Crooks, Bright & Piquionne are all black and it was on the BBC: they're too shit scared to upset the Racial Harmony lot. Bright being black didn't stop the BBC booting him off their World Cup coverage last summer.

no balls Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Good! I'm not sure why this one was suspended though. It was hardly sexist. http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/UK-News/Sky-Sports-Andy-Burton-Is-Taken-Off-Air-Over-Sexist-Comments-About-A-Female-Match-Official/Article/201101415910354?lpos=UK_News_First_Home_Article_Teaser_Region_1&lid=ARTICLE_15910354_Sky_Sports_Andy_Burton_Is_Taken_Off_Air_Over_Sexist_Comments_About_A_Female_Match_Official

It was a compliment & a pisstake of his colleague if anything, wasn't it?
tarian1979 Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 sad this really, sorry state of our country tipified again. Political correctness going over board ageism sexism whether you like arthur or martha ism its all a load of tripe what happened to freedom of speech
Carlos Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 I hope they replace these outdated sexist bigots with equally capable female replacements... Ones with big tits.
Traf Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 It's all gone too far IMO. Plus who's the grass at Sky?

frank_spencer Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 had Keys and Gray engaged in this 'matey banter' in the pub or at wom it wouldn't be an issue. That they chose to do it in the work place especially one as high profile as theirs is both stupid and why it comes under the discrimination rules.
