I've been a big fan of Kevin's for a good while, but his performances seem to be badly on the wane this season.

Don't be fooled by the penalties he's scored to bump up his goals tally: he's having a poor time of it out there.

I'm just wondering if his charity work isn't interfering with his focus on day job.

 

Anyway, I'd say we need to replace him sooner or later. The legs appear to have gone, as does the commitment and enthusiasm: the cross field pass for Chelsea's 3rd goal and his subsequent reaction summed it up.

 

PS I fully expect to be slated for daring to criticise Sir Kevin, but I think I'm right.

Totally agree. He's been brilliant for us but we need to be building a side to take us forward over the next few years. No room for sentiment. Tough decisions and choices have to be made.

was interesting his reaction when he gave the ball away fro that goal, he just turned his back on the ball and flapped his arms like a petulant kid, like it was someone elses fault the ball went where it did - rather than digging in and chasing after the fucker as he would have normally!? hmmm

Thought for a while that he has lost a yard of pace since last season and that perhaps he is coming to the end of his useful life as a wanderers player although I am sure many may disagree. Unfortunately we are severely limited in our options as JE seems to have reverted to type and Klasnik is probably more concerned about his forthcoming court appearance than football at the moment. Unless OC can get a striker on loan from somewhere I think we are in for a difficult few months ahead BUt there are teams worse than us in the premier league - most beginning with a "W".

Too much knee jerk reaction on here, granted from 1 to 11 we were really poor not to our usual standard of passing big Kev bossed by Terry nowt new there, jussi was as bad as I have seen him, the 2 in midfield does not work against a top midfield like Chelsea, OC has to review this formation against the big guns. The lads still look tired and lacking spark, we badly need re-inforcements and the return of CYL. But let's not panic were in a reasonable position and positivity from fans can help take BWFC forward, negativity never ever takes you anywhere.

Always been a massive Jaaskelainen fan, couldnt understand why a bigger team didnt step in 3 or 4 years ago. Hes definitely on the slide now, no way id be selling al habsi to be honest

Agree he is not top quality but I feel Robinson and Zat Knight have been our Mr Consistant's this season they both have excelled themselves and in my view have been our best players.

I dont think K Davies is quite finished but i did say at the end of last season that he can't play every game week in week out, we should be usuing him as plan B to come off the bench for 20 minutes and start the odd game against the likes of West Ham etc

 

I do think that Jussi is on the decline, Al Habsi in for me

Holden has been our best player by a country mile (poor game last night though, possibly his worst for us).

 

I cant be picking two defenders out as best players when we're incapable of keeping clean sheets. Yes they do well of large parts of games but theyre prone to stupid errors, robinson not winning the header leading to the corner for 2nd goal (shite), steinssons awful touch for first goal (shite) - pass was a bit suicidal from knight as well. Knight shit penalty at stoke.

We need better players than him of course, but be fair to him he's been our most consistent defender all season. It's shit like Steinsson and Elmander that need to go asap..

One of the few that came out of last nights game with any credit.

For me making SKD captain is and always has been a mistake makes him undroppable - he has still got something to offer without a doubt but for the last 2 maybe even 3 seasons he has massive dips in form for long periods and should be rested dropped whatever then he comes back hungry and would be at his tenacious best - come the summer I think coyle will have a major shuffle of the pack and SKD might be on the fringes - SKD has never been a talker organiser on the pitch but we do lack leaders if you weren't making him captain pre-season who would you go with remember pre-season it would have to be Jussi or Cahill
