Where Is The Best Atmosphere

Featured Replies

For the last few games sat half the game at the South stand end of the east lower and one half at the North stand end of the east lower, there is no doubt the North stand where many of the old boys sit is far and away the most vociferous set of fans, in my mind the North stand singing stand has been a success.

Wouldn't disagree with that. Whenever I've been sat closer to the North Stand I've been impressed with the noise. It's just putting up with those bloody drums that would put me off!

I sit in the ESU near the South stand, and have never heard a peep from the North stand. Our atmosphere is shit, Villa were noisy today.

And we will be next week. Every away game I've been to you get a crowd of like-minded folk all singing the same song in the same place at the same time. If we could organise this at the Reebok then it really would be noisy.

i agree, but still think our home atmosphere is lacking at the moment.

it's been louder in previous years at the reebok

Think this ties in with my point about not giving a shiney one about crowds, dependent on where you sit, you can only hear the 400 or 500 round you then the away section at a place like Bolton. Usually sit in the ESL section of Lofthouse stand but have sat elsewhere and never recall being impressed by NSL... Villa had some decent volume today thats for sure. Bit annoying listening to hymns though. Ace on away days when everyones belting out no matter how big the following it feels special.

I have given you a + for that Micky, but how many times do we have to say this, at an away game you are all lumped together, like minded people supporting Bolton TOGETHER, it works :good:

MickyD could conduct us like that young lad at Marseille.

You up for that Micky?

Being honest the North Stand is a joke, today we didn't hear a peep. People around us question why the "singing stand" never sing. Barring the cheap tickets, whats the point?

the NSL sounded louder than usual today from where i sit, those drums really piss me off, and that DUM DUM DUM CHEAT! chant is cringing.

We sit in the N S L level with the East corner flag.

wouldnt go anywhere else :yahoo:

couple of Prickish Villa fans in the NSL today as well

Am i that pissed at the match? No fucker sounded loud today??? Apart from when the pen was missed! Our home support is generally shite!

Well I sat in the east stand next to the east stand second half and there was a fair bit of chanting, some good old songs, mainly form the old boys, shame the young lads are quiet as a church mouse.

just turn your earing aid off then

I sat in East/North corner for Spurs game earlier in the season and the noise from the North was nil. Over the full season the young uns in east stand corner make the most noise imo.

Prefer the Besiktas way of doing things.

it's usually rocking under ESL, I hear

When were winning or its tense the esl is normally quite loud even if its just young lads then there louder than the miserable cnuts in the west nd north

Atmosphere left BWFC, when BWFC left Bolton.

I sit in ESL and I wouldn't say the North stand is ever loud. Probably just my old age though

That just about sums up the problem.

we sit in w.s.l but being the "family stand" dont really expect or get much atmosphere

look forward to the away games to drop the "prim and proper" act
