From The Teams That Could Go Down

Looking at the candidates for relegation, is there anyone in their teams you think would be good additions to our squad?

My take would be from:-

Blackburn

Samba

Nelsen

Hoilett

Olssen

West Ham

Parker (but no chance whatsoever)

Ba

Collinson

Noble

Piqionne

Wigan

N'Zogbia (doubt he'd come here though)

Moses

Diame

Rodallega

Blackpool

Adam (but no chance whatsoever)

Phillips

Eardley

Wolves

Jarvis

Fletcher

Doyle

Kightly (actually out of contract in the summer I think?)

Kightly.

Hoilett & Olssen seem like decent players.

Kightly is 25 and has a horrendous injury record. He clearly has ability, but he's not been fit in 2 years.

Realistic signings who would benefit us:

Eardley on a free.

Vaughan on a free.

Tomkins.

Moses.

Jarvis.

McCarthy.

Ba.

I don't see much chance of Rovers going down, so I'll leave them out.

Jussi out Robert Green in

How about Elmander staying then bringing in Sebastian Larsson, Martin Olsson, Jonas Olsson (as we need another defender if Cahill leaves) as they already know each others play from the Sweden team, would not take long to gel. :D

Martin and Jonas?

What about their Kevin?

N'Zogbia. He is great for the pie eaters, wins them games single handedly unfortunately. Would solve all our problems on the left.

Also, Demba Ba looks impressive, if can't get Sturridge then i'd go for him, or take them both :good:

Got a back injury years ago, not recovered since, a no goer for me.

Demba Ba would inspire another song thread!

To the Banana Spilts tune:

Demba Ba, Demba-ba Ba, Demba Ba, Demba-ba Ba.

Didn't he used to be at Blackpool? :pardon:

Not bad, but I reckon it'd sound better to the tune of "Give it up" (as we did used to do with Nicky Hunt).

Na na na na na na na na na na nah

Demba Demba Ba-ah

N'Zogbia is a class act, but he's not a realistic target. Wigan would want about 10mil for him and he'd want big money.....we can offer neither.

We have to look for talented players who have fallen by the wayside or prospects from the lower leagues. We're not able to compete financially with most of the clubs in this division, so we have to be creative.

N'Zogbia

Diame

Rodallega

all complete cunts who think they are far better than they really are.

  • Author

Maybe, but they actually are better than what we've got (certainly in the case of the first two), cunts or not.

Diame is no better than Muamba, over all; plus Fabrice is nearly a year younger. Diame looks a lot more comfortable because he often gets to play in a 3-man midfield, but in a 4-4-2 he offers similar strengths and weaknesses.

Surely we'd be better off getting something a little bit different?

Pick a prize from the bottom shelf.

Aye, but I wanted something we'd not done before.

I'm sure I saw Diame shoot and score recently. That's an improvement straight away.

Seriously though, I've said it before. Muamba is not a footballer. He's simply an excellent athlete.

He could do a job in a 5 man midfield where it's his job simply to break up play. However, as part of a 4 man midfield, which is the formation Coyle stubbonly sticks to at all times, he's just not good enough on the ball - especially away from home where we need to keep posession.

In the 3 (or is it seasons he's been here his passing and shooting abilities have not improved at all - and that's the worrying thing about him.

Samba is the only one who stands out, however; he signed an improved five year contract in November 2009, the chicken men have no need to sell, wages are probably high and Blackburn look the most likely to stay up.

Someone else mentioned looking at players who just miss out on promotion, rather than those relegated, and I agree - 'rats and sinking ships' being just one reason.

I'd still have a punt at getting Robbie Keane from Spurs for a decent fee. I really rate him and it shows how kak West Ham are that he can't score when he is fit enough to play

Pretty sure his permanent transfer to the spam has been agreed for the end of the season.

I could swear the Robbie Keane thatwas wearing claret and blue at the Reebok a few weeks ago wasn't the one who used to rape us regularly.

He was absolutely dreadful and having watched their game at Citeh the other day he as no better. His only contribution in that game was to miss a sitter.

He was shit when he went to Liverpool, he was shit when he went back to Spurs and he's been shit for West Ham.

That's a long period of being shit. I'd steer well clear.

Keane's transfer to WHU (4mil rising to 6mil) is dependent on them staying up. If relegated, the deal is off.
