Guess your not a half glass full man, if you think there has been no progress under coyle you must have been on the moon, the atmosphere around the club, good young players now want to play for us, and some blinding entertaimnent and brilliant results at home at least, oh and a top half finish and safe from relegation for weeks, backs up my view.

which is exactly why we should be spending a few of the queens pounds.

A superb season. Top 10 finish and an FA Cup Semi Final.   Absolutely magnificent achievement with a lack of resources and one of the lowest supported teams in the league.   Well done OC, hope you

Beachboys 0 Bokboys 1 Last minute speculative shinner from Muamba. Cue frothing at the mouth from Holloway, and relegation for the donkey botherers. Sorry lads.

So, where exactly is this money going to come from? People complain about match ticket prices, prefer to give their money to the local landlord, we rarely sell out, so basically Eddie's got to shell out, or Gartside?

Thats how other clubs work.

You missed Leeds out, love.

Before you go any further mate, please study what happened to Leeds United over the last decade.

Be thankful we are a well managed club from a financial perspective.

BWFC has always had more than it's fair share of prophets of doom - there's nothing new in this thread. I am surprised some folk risk stepping out of their front doors in the morning.

does your mother say that?

My mother says "I thought you weren't going to away matches any more" (repeat ad nauseum over 20 years)

David Sullivan said yesterday that West Ham are in the worst financial position of any club in the country; they would be very happy to be in little ol' Boltons shoes today, as would many dream followers.

Go on, don't be coy. How much do you think Eddie should stump up to stop you getting your wet bedsheet out?

Iam not talking about splashing 40 million that would be suicide, if we got 20 mill for gary cahill then use say half of that. coyle could get 2 or 3 good players along with 2 or 3 free transfers.

Now you're starting to put some meat on the bones. You could be close to the mark there.

Earlier you seemed to be suggesting Eddie or Phil dig deep.

where did i say that.

Do you struggle with English, son? If so, ask yer Dad the difference between 'seemed to be suggesting' and 'said'.

I have amended your above post. No charge.

Prior to FA Cup Semi, Wheater played in 9 games, of which we won 5, drew 2 and lost 2, conceding only 8.

Ding ding - exactly. I'll get my backside out in church if Wheater isnt better than Knight.

442

is the problem

4 4 2 at home, isnt broke dont fix it, has to be 4 5 1 away though. our defenders are fking awful, teams attack you more at home than away hence they crumble all over the shop.

Steinson wasn't just bad yesterday; he is out of position and unaware whats going on around him all the time - not good enough

Dont know why Wheater is not playing ahead of Knight because he is too clumbsy - and although I admire Robbo's british bulldog attitude he gets skinned too often. When Cahill leaves our back 4 will be a laughing stock.

We have two central midfield players and they are both injuried; Ricky did great yesterday but after all his years his time is almost up.

Elmander and Sturridge are almost sure to be heading out and SKD like Ricky is coming to the end of his shelf life so up top we will be left with nothing

Coyle should get manager of the century if he can get us top half next season with a decent cup run

Ive said since about 6 months after signing him his positional sense is horrific. Finally people are waking up to it. That said, hes not that bad going forward with the ball at times but personally id prefer a solid defender in the position first and foremost

Perhaps Coyle should have bought a crystal ball with his transfer funds. It appears that everyone other than him could see that Holden's season was going to be ended with a reckless tackle on 19th March.

Fair point made. Personally though i wouldnt be putting our best player in that position for it too happen when weve just made a semi final. Fk Old trafford, we're gonna lose 9 times out of 10 anyway (yes i know we nearly got a result), once we'd made the semi the stars should of been rested. Too much emphasis on coming 7th or 9th for an extra million, fk it, when small teams like us get to a semi final, against another not so great team where we've a decent chance of winning, then all focus should of been on that game between beating birm and playing it. Once in decade chance for us. Doesnt rest holden (especially when we arent great in the centre mid) or cahill yet rests robinson to save him getting booked and missing the semi, comical really.

I believe in OC!

So you would have rested Holden for the best part of a month?

Possibly not no, but certainly in games like man u away - pointless, gonna lose anyway. Play the percentages. Yes he could of got hurt against west ham or whoever else we played in between. No need to take a risk at man u though, write it off.

It might be because I'm a woman, I don't know, but I don't actually understand this one bit. :nea:

Are you ginger by any chance?

No, he made defensive subs when drawing nil nil at home to west brom - i wouldnt do that.

And id only write it off with a semi final a few weeks away

Which part? Its simple really, generally we're too shit to get a result at Old Trafford. We've a massive cup semi final a few weeks away/we havent won a trophy for 50 odd years - Coming 7th, 9th, 10th makes little difference - hence rest some of your stars in a game you will lose 9 out of 10 times anyway and focus on trying to get to a first cup final in a generation. Any way we got whipped five zip in the semi, probably wouldnt of made much differecne if holden had played anyway......
