Guest bwfcdan Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 Da villa! I'm only hazarding a guess at fan's news Edited for you
DazBob Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 (edited) A couple more according to the BN :- Beram Kayal (Celtic/Israel - "tough-tackling" midfielder) Pape Diakhate (Dynamo Kiev/Senegal - Defender) Edited June 9, 2011 by DazBobParr
Guest Blixa Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 Dynamow Kiev Is that a cheap Ukrainian lawnmower firm?
Zico Posted June 9, 2011 Author Posted June 9, 2011 Reports frOm Spain say we've bid ?4m plus buy back clause for 20 yr old Barcelona B midfielder Thiago
Zico Posted June 9, 2011 Author Posted June 9, 2011 He was always decent on footy manager I hear he was offered of part of a previous (or maybe even pending) bid for Fabregas that's more like it though less of this "if we was any good he wouldn't be at bolton" type targets/excuses

tylswhite Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 Have we not learned from buying Spanish reserve players Maybe we plan on getting him in the team before he does anything stupid? :-)
enzo gambaro Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Back in for Moreno according to this morning's Mirror. If we blow ?4m on him we're going to get ourselves in some right bother.
Guest Blixa Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Coyle obviously sees something in him. One that could go either way, that's for sure.
enzo gambaro Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Coyle obviously sees something in him. One that could go either way, that's for sure. And I'm not saying there's no potential there, either. Potential won't get us far next season, though, and ?4m is a lot to risk.
DazBob Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Am I right in thinking that Rodrigo is actually a striker rather than a winger? If so, I wish we'd seen more of him playing up top. Coyle's obviously seen enough from him in training to think he's worth the gamble though. And, TBH, I'd rather risk ?4m on Rodrigo than ?5m+ on Jerome!
Casino Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 presumably he sees him as a striker either that or one of petrov and taylor is going
BURNDEN BILLY Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 DazBobParr tend to agree with what you are saying. It would give us all a better clue if we knew the amount in the kitty. Dont suppose that will ever come out though.

Rembrandt Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 (edited) ED has said "If Liverpool can do it, so can we ....... here's ?50m to sp*nk spend on some players". ITK FACT Don't tell the Mirror though ! Edited June 13, 2011 by Rembrandt
enzo gambaro Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 presumably he sees him as a striker He didn't seem to see him as a striker when we scored 8 in 11 around Christmas, though. I don't think he was going to keep us up if Sturridge hadn't arrived.
Boothy Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 BEN says Chelsea have valued Sturridge at ?20 million.
tylswhite Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 I think Moreno is a good player and has the potential to be really good for a team like us anyway. What i dont understand is if Coyle thinks he is worth buying for 4 million why the fuck didnt he get a game last season?
HomerJay Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 moreno, bags of ability, but not a fukcin clue what to do with it.
Eddie Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Was it Wigan at home in the cup when he scored? IMO that goal showed a glimpse that he can definitely play up front, before you all say that it is only 1 goal in however many appearances, that goal showed me that he is very good at playing off the shoulder of the defender, and if we can get Holden back in the team with his creativity then he has the pace and finishing ability to score goals. Like others though, if Coyle does see him as a striker, why not give him more chances last year up top.

With you on that completely I think he'd be a great asset But would he be effective and a regular in the forthcoming season? If the answer is no, I don't think we can afford many "ones for the future" that eat up our budget now....as we could always then get relegated and be forced to sell them cheaply anyway!
