Zico Posted June 15, 2011 Author Posted June 15, 2011 From what I've heard (through the grapevine - so no proof to those who insist)... - Petrov is going to MLS. - Gardner has re-signed for 1 year. - We're looking into signing Alejandro Alfaro from Sevilla (a winger) for 1.3 million. - The Thiago transfer is looking VERY promising (for 5 million with a buy-back clause). - Pratley has signed, just not confirming until July 1. - Looking promising too for signing Rodrigo permanently for 4 million. - We're apparently looking to a season-long loan of Ignasi Miquel from Arsenal (central defender). - We're considering a bid for 21 year old Icelandic striker Kolbeinn Sigthorsson for 3.1 million from AZ Alkmarr. that's the sort of unfounded transfer speculation I like good work

Agreed.... Championship standard at best and even then I am not sure he would get enough goals in that division. As for Vaughan, he is not better than M.Davies, but is better than Petrov and off recent form Taylor, so for that reason and the fact he doesnt carry a transfer fee.... I'm in Just one thought though, are Blackpool attacking players getting more limelight because of their style rather than having above standard players? If Petrov played in that team last season would he be seen as a world beater, with Cahill being labelled a donkey?

I would be very suprised and delighted if that lad alcantara signed even though I have reservations in him hacking the playing style in England.Any how I wish OC the best of luck in the transfer market as it cannot be easy attracting the required talent with our meagre resources.

They deserve all what they get if they are that stupid I can see where your coming from though regarding transfer rumours linked with ST's. I think its more down to the fact that we try and sign our top targets but they are hard to get and we end up signing less glamorous names closer to the season starting. People then say it was all just a marketing tool to get people buy season tickets which lets be honest wouldnt work on 99% of people anyway.

I was joking - I suggested that PG posted on twitter to squash the Jerome story even though it was happening, and I got shot down and called stupid for suggesting he might do that. If it turned out that he DID do that, I was wondering if I'd have gotten some apologies. Namely from Tylswhite and bwfcfan5 on the Cameron Jerome thread.
