Nothing in the Mirror article, not even that we've put a bid in. Just that we might be interested at the right price.

Zico mentioned this on the transfers thread, it was mentioned he may of been part of the fabregas deal

I think its unlikely

Deal of the century if it was ever to come off. but I won't :(

IF there is any possibility of signing him, we need to get it done before the U21's tournament.

reckon he will go Roma with Luiz Enrique

not much chance of that, it starts tonight doesn't it?

weve got 48 minutes

best be quick

We were linked with him last summer after Jack Wilshere's successful loan spell. This is lazy journalism at best.

signed for inter on a free on my current game.

My scout said his potential could lead him to become a leading premier league attacking midfielder.

Not a chance, times it by three and you may have a chance, I will eat everybodys hats if we get him for 5mill

ATHYWHITE, I agree with you mate, from what I have read since this was first talked about, three times might be on the low side. But like everyone else, I hope I am wrong, ?5 Mil would be the steal of the decade. It is being said that we have made a bid to keep the lad from Benfica at ?4 Mil and put a bid in for the Israeli chap from Celtic at ?4 Mil.

son of Brazilian world cup winner Mazinho

born in Italy

grew up in Spain, playing for Barcelona

almost sounds like perfect pedigree

I only saw the first half of the match last night, but what I saw of Thiago, I was VERY impressed.

I'd also be VERY surprised if he ends up playing for us.

Not putting us down or anything, but surely if he's available (and for around the ?5m mark) then there will be interest from far, far bigger clubs than us.

Technically very good, but would he further his career by playing in the premier league? I doubt it, looking at his style of play I would be suprised if he would hack it here, maybe if he had more experience under his belt, I would expect him to sign for a top club somewhere on the continent.

Yep, me too TBH.

Although Fabregas has done alright... but then again Arsenal being a poor man's Barca and all has probably helped him.

Not quite sure what Thiago would make of playing alongside Muamba and Taylor. :pardon:

aye, me too

guess the buy back clause is considered our best chance of getting him off Barcelona

Holden, Muamba, mavies, Pratley, Kayal and Thiago for 2 central midfield positions

nah

not having it

You forgot S.Davis. He'll be like a new signing. :good:

But, yep, you're right. We don't need Thiago.

Seriously though, maybe, just maybe (with fingers and everything else crossed) Coyle is thinking about employing a 5 man midfield in certain games. We can but hope.

passing in circles is for fannys.

get it in the box ffs.

Its probably Kayal or Thiago. Im thinking we tried our best to get Thiago but weve got Kayal instead :pardon:
