Thats more or less the team that finished the season without Sturridge and Mavies back in place of Elmander. The team that lost about 7 out of 8 against poor opposition. Totally agree we should be VERY worried
July 8, 201114 yr With the teams selected who`s going to score the goals? Davies is too slow and Klasnic can only play twenty mins. Ok, he knows where the goals are but we must get the ball in thwe box first. If we go a goal behind I can`t see us scoring two. The two full backs are the main weak links Without the goals of Sturridge last term, we would be starting this season in the Championship. Not optimistic one bit, those who are can`t be realists.
July 8, 201114 yr Without sturridge, elmo would've stayed on up top so your point of how we'd be down if it wasn't for sturridge doesn't wash. however Without either of them things look very suspect indeed.
July 8, 201114 yr We had a bad end to the season and that has clouded people's thinking. The end was partly down to the Wembley disaster and basically being safe and having nothing to play for, at least thats the hope I have. The same team with and without Sturridge were top half for most of the season. Lets not forget that. Obviously we're a striker light as an absolute necessity and realistically we need two. After that there are areas we could do with strengthening but whether we have the money or not probably depends on Cahill going. We'll bring in some more players and we'll be fine. I remember the same panic and predictions of doom when we were finishing top 10 under Big Sam!

July 8, 201114 yr Aye and everyone wants a Sturridge/Elmo type player. Where are Bolton gonna get one of those from? The only hope we have is Sturridge will again be surplus at Chelsea, after tasting first teasm footie I`m sure he`ll want to start games. I fear the bad end to the season has had some effect on Cahill`s price, we have to cash in on our most expensive asset or let him go for nowt next year.

There's plenty of time and ~Coyle will sign some quality, that I'm sure Queen of the South have 15 days to go until the kick off of the new season and have 7 signed up players, and 2 of them are keepers! Betting men on this site could do well to back against QoS every week at the start of the season.
