Two words - blind faith.

How can it be 'blind faith' if it's based on his previous track record?

It seems strange to keep Obadeye who has failed on 3 separate loan spells, but release Ward who has had 2 successful loan spells without giving him the chance to step up to the first team squad.

If we give him a season to develop & he doesn't -,no problem -,we'll still get a million for him.

Maybe he has a couple of deals nearing completion and doesn't have any room for Ward.

They can't let it go, anyone who doesn't have total faith in Coyle/worship the ground he walks on has an agenda. You aren't allowed to have the best interests of Bolton Wanderers at heart and nothing else. It doesn't auger well for the future.

Bringing GM into it is relevant when looking at this thread.

It seems to me that the posters on this site that defended GM and accused the anti GM posters of being Negative and not getting behind the team our now the posters who are posting all the negatives.

Most Bolton fans would agree that we are in a much better position as a club under OC. Its just strange to see that the posters who where so anti anything negative at our lowest points in recent years under GM our now the first to be negative. The synic in me thinks that due to them nailing there colours to the mast under GM a little bit of them would love to be able to say I told you so.

Selling Danny Ward is not great loss, we have plenty of budget to spend and there are many good players available, come the end of August I am sure that we will have 4 or 5 quality players in and we will be looking good.

Assuming all our midfielders are fit, do any of them improve us enough to warrant adding another?

That's a big giant massive assumption tho, Enzo, based on the last couple of seasons.

I don't see any value for a club like ourselves to keep hold of players who maybe are ones for the future, Ward hasn't been in Coyle's plans and probably won't be next season or the next.

It was the same with Al Habsi, he could have been our No.1 in say a few years, but do good keepers like Al Habsi want to waste their football carear watching from the bench, same goes with Ward, a young unproven player who will be watching from the stands and only getting reserve football.

No point in keeping him, unless Coyle and Bolton drastically change our ways and build a team on youth and inexperiance.

Ward could go onto do very well and score 20+ and get a move to a higher league in the future, but that's not going to happen at Bolton, not unless he waits for a long while and steps up very quickly, it was the same with Vaz Te, same with Tope, these players will get moved on, we will rely on loans, oldish players or spending money on realistic players in our range.

I can't see us atm bringing acadamy/reserves players because the premiership is hard as it is, maybe if we get relegated then we'll see more of a change, which won't be for the better.

We can't just buy another six midfield players just in case any of them get injured.

i obviously didnt mean buy them all you sponge.

i obviously didnt mean buy them all you sponge.

Aye, I know.

I wasn't talking to you!

He has now signed for the Terriers

On the back of that we must have some deals very close

what the fuck is going on at that club?

Mind you, I remember when we got all excited that Paul Comstive was coming. The joys of lower league footie.

really, really dont get this

Thanks for everything Danny, you've been a fantastic player for Bolton, t'was a pleasure to see your quality week in week out.

Who's laughing cos I aint?

The smileys laughing, look at him, think he might get tummy ache any minute.

And neither did I say anything about buying any more (let alone six !) midfield players. But we'll not let facts get in the way.

I pointed out that it would be a massive assumption for anyone to assume that all our midfield players will be fit this season based on what's happened to these same players the last 2 seasons. Holden might not even be fit till November, and Davis seems to be on an unknown recovery schedule and will have been out for 2 years in any case. Realistically it leaves us with M Davies, Pratley & Muamba for the midfield positions ...... as long as M Davies stays fit. And no, I haven't forgotten Gardner - he's not a central mifdfielder even when he's fit. And we won't even have Elmander to play in midfield. (Joke).

Given how much debt we're carrying, we'll be lucky to see many new players signed for any postions, except loans.

we have plenty to spend

based on what?

I don't think you should take this shit of "Anewman" Diddles, you should meet up with him at the next home game and give him a good hiding
