tyldesley_white Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 It's just someone's opinion, nothing more. So we have an impotent attack, we've scored 7 in 3 games, Only City and Utd have more, he does not want to take QPR into the debate because they were shit, but reams us over talking about 2 teams that have spent how much money, selective use of facts to support his (already drawn) conclusion
Churchill Posted August 30, 2011 Author Posted August 30, 2011 Quite interesting to see the statts, not that they mean much like!
HomerJay Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 only stats that matter are this seasons. last seasons are irrelevant imo. plus we played a new promoted team and 2 teams chasing champions league football at the very least. usually i would say lets get to 6 games and review, but that will be worse for us. so lets get to 12 games and review.
BURNDEN BILLY Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 The facts do not justify this knob heads comments.................
SpiritofBurnden Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Here's another of Pete Gill's quotes about us last season: Their ludicrous, two-cornered victory over Arsenal was a relief. You'd never guess who he supports...

Boothy Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Honestly, Tyldsley_white got it spot on. This is typical of someone casting their opinion over teams they have seen on MOTD. I wonder how many games of Bolton's he has actually seen?
freds dad Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 A few more stats here. Read into them what you will. http://www.zonalmarking.net/2011/05/24/bolton-owen-coyle-style-of-football/

Read into them what you will. http://www.zonalmarking.net/2011/05/24/bolton-owen-coyle-style-of-football/ Only 3 stats matter 1 now many goals you score 2 how many goals you concede 3 the most important one, how many points you have at the end of the season The rest is just Americanised bullshit
Guest Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Have we not got 6 points from the last 9 games W v Arsenal Lost last 5, 2010/11 W v QPR Lost last 2 Could be wrong, of course (I was once)
BOWTUN BAKED Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 In the words of Benjamin Disraeli.... "There are three types of lies, lies, damned lies & statistics" Numbers on a page will never tell the full story, it's in the perception of the eyes of the interpreter. So I guess it's right & wrong, depending on which side you butter your bread?
Dodgywheel Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 It's one of the biggest piles of shite i've read

enzo gambaro Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 While everyone's battening down the hatches, does nobody worry that he might be right? Stretched for numbers at the back, short on quality and depth in wide positions and eggs currently very much in one basket as far as goal threat goes? I'd say there were two or three recurring summer themes there.

Carlos Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 Scottish Mourinho. If not goal threat is signed, we need to tighten up at the back significantly or we'll struggle. I don't need Opta to tell me that.
