I was passing last week so thought I'd pop in and get some tea. I got the weekends food and beer for 30 quid.

 

I thought I'll give that another go and did a 'Big Shop' there yesterday. I got a trolly full for 70 quid including fucking rafts of what appears to be of top, top quality veg and all our Sunday lunch stuff.

 

I've always been a stalwart Asda customer but what I got yesterday would have cost me 120-150 quid and most would be going off by the middle of the week.

 

As for the rest of the quality, I got some beef burgers and they were lovely, that nice I checked the ingredients. It said 99% beef!

The fruit and veg is "better" in that it's not the cosmetically perfect tasteless shit Asda sell.

Quick on the tills means you need to be quick packing your trolley again.

Asda is a truly awful supermarket.

The veg at Aldi is tip top. Their rocket and asparagus is as good as any other supermarket, if not better. In fact, I doubt they even sell that at Asda.

Not sure I could do a "big shop" there, but still, they do sell some half decent stuff.

The continental hams are good too

 

Though I cant believe some of the random stuff they sell, though I always have a good mooch

It certainly is horrible, but the worst Asda award goes to Farnworth.

Rudest clientele for Asda goes to Fulwood. I sometimes have to nip in if I've got a shortened lunch & it really is very rare because what a set of rude ill-mannered people frequent that store. And their till operators are all educated at Preston's equivalent of Woodside.

I had to nip to Asda over the weekend, it was the one in Haperhey grim doesnt come close.

Its not that bad, its the closest to my folks so I go in there when back. Although when I was back a few weeks ago spotted this family twice (eldest lad seemed to be wearing a hat with long dog ears on it, even though it was fairly warm)

and bloody hell they stank like a tramp on the tube.

Agree, it's not so much a hovel, its the filthy cunts in there.

 

Its had the market dominance in town for 20 years but that will end next month when Tesco and Morrisons open. They're also building a new Sainsburys.
