I haven't seen any of this game so I can't comment, but weren't we at 0-0 when Gardner was sent off? Would that have much of a difference? ie. Were we doing ok up until that point?

But we are still playing with 2 wingers, one has to go and bring in someone else in midfield,we have to start to play nasty, grind out some results does not matter if its shot nil nil or a crap 1 nil win,we have to do this or we are doomed, it really depends if OC will swallow is pride and use tatics that he doesn't like

Agreed , we simply have to shut up shop and make things as difficult as possible for the opposition . Grind out results and build again .We are making things to easy for teams against us.

Today we were crap and certainties for relegation unless something, I know not what changes. Gardner's sending off had no bearing on the result. Swansea are not much better but at least they do find their own players with passes. Coyle takes Ngog off and puts on Klasnic who can't hold the ball as well as Ngog. The swell of opinion is turning against Coyle. Lose next week and he is in serious trouble. Still we are the first away team to score at Swansea this season even if it was an own goal.

Be interesting to hear your views on that. It was 0-0 when RG got his marching orders. The whole of the second half without him MUST have a bearing on the match otherwise we may as well start games with 10 men!

The balls to him didn't help, but N'Gog's hold up play was awful

Course it had a bearing - played ok first half, then crumbled after the red

That's part of the issue

Anything goes against us and we do crumble, panic etc

That's down to management to a great degree

Get them to stay organised and disciplined, take their medicine when we concede, are under pressure, or lose a man

Then good things can happen

But it's like watching under 12's who panic and lose sense of shape etc

Bring back Megson, then =D>

Bring back Megson, then =D>

Lets have it right though when Megson came in he had a much stronger squad to start with and assests that could be sold to generate cash. The board backed him to the tune of ?30+ million. If he was to come in now what could he do? Bring Muamber in a 5 man midfiled and all is well, bollocks.

The problem is we have no cash to strengthen until Cahill is sold. Gartside came out and said that we are a trading club but we lost Elmander for nout and could lose Cahill for free as well. We are not doing that side well enough and that means any manager has fuck all money. Pay peanuts get monkeys, play monkeys get beat.

We didn't play OK in the first half. I can't remember their goalkeeper having a shot to save. It was only a matter of time before Swansea scored. Bolton went into the game hoping for no more than a 0-0 draw.

I haven't seen it on TV but Alan Gowling said on GMR that a better finisher than Ngog would have scored from his chance in the first half rather than hit it straight at the keeper.

Sickening.

Cahill had a weak header saved too.

IIRC Eagles had a shot saved too.

We had more shots than Swansea in the first half however if you don't take em you no the outcome

Yes but they were weak headers, shots straight at the keeper. They have to make the keeper work.

my point was we managed to create the chances, we just didn't take them once Swansea got the upper hand these missed chances came back to haunt us.

we have to take the chances when they come to us if we don't we are fucked
