Players Stealing A Living?

watching arsenal v city last night and one player on the bench that id totally forgotten about....stuart taylor.

now i remember him being a fairly reasonable keeper.

quick google and http://en.wikipedia....aller_born_1980)

69 games in 15 years....not even 5 games a season and probably on 10-20k a week?

do such players have no desire to actually play football?

any more of this ilk?

Sean Davis?

Reminds me of Steve Harper, but probably not as extreme! Played second fiddle to Shay Given for all that time, Given leaves. Harper will finally be number one now surely? No, some young Dutch lad gets the nod.

Im sure he joined them in the earlyish 90's?

Kieron Dyer?

According to wiki he has played 35 games since 2007. And i wonder how many of them were off the bench?

I bet QPR are paying him generously aswell!

Same club, Wayne Bridge.

90k a week and probably never play for the club again

contract until 2013, signed jan 2009.

cost ?21m in wages plus ?10m fee

Kieron Dyer

tbf, it's a bit harsh as he's a goalkeeper and there's only room for one goalkeeper in a starting XI. If your manager thinks someone else is better than you, but you're better than the others at the club then you have to just sit on the bench week in, week out.

If the first choice 'keeper never gets injured then what can you do? :pardon: You can't go out on loan as your manager wants you on that bench in case of a red card or an injury.

Kieron Dyer?

I'll bet their not, I would reckon he would be on a "pay as you play" deal with his history.

Owen Hargreaves has been ion the "stealing a living" category for the last few years.

Winston Bogarde was the original one though

Riga and Danny Shittu. From Recent Bolton teams that only had a handful of appearances and were paid off in the end just to go away!

Samuel Eto at his current club!

Same club, Wayne Bridge.

He has to be the winner, the guy was on the verge of the world cup squad.

Sure I read somewhere about him refusing to go on loan outside the premiership.

Riga was worth his salary if only to give the mongtards in ESL something, anything to believe in. He was like some kind of mythical, mysterious saviour that, alas, never got his chance.

aye. he was offered Celtic but refused.

you can laugh at the jock league but you'd think Celtic might appeal

he was an unused sub in last night's carling cup game

can he play right-back?

Pretty much any over age play wh played every game for the reserves without any hope of breaking into he first team.

Al Habsi

18 appearances in 5 seasons.

Not bad work if you can get it

Harper became first choice, but got injured.

Krul played so well that Harper couldn't get back in.

Sean Davis?

There is a difference between having terrible luck with injuries and being content to sit on the bench

But to be fair to Ali, he didn't want that and engineering himself a move to get first-team football.
