December 8, 201114 yr And a huge thank you to theLeebolton on youtube, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k3wGtoxq-iY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LvDnI6sKCb4&feature=related
December 8, 201114 yr watching super sunday from start to finish is very boring if it's not your team.
December 9, 201114 yr I thought we were the 'be all and end all' at the time, with the whole country watching us. But did any of us watch Reading smash our record a few years later? Thought not.
December 9, 201114 yr happy days and I wish we could keep the ball as well nowadays. I actually missed that last game at Burnden having spent most of my youth on the Paddock it still haunts me today that I missed it.
December 9, 201114 yr First and only time i have seen a tear in my old mans eye.So many fantastic memories there .It was a very special place.
December 9, 201114 yr What an amazing night. So fitting Super John stuck the last 2 in on that ground. I miss the place.
December 9, 201114 yr Bugger, I'm annoyed to hear that "You'll Never Walk Alone" is being sang (21:00 onwards on the first clip)
December 9, 201114 yr went with my dad and stood on the embankment quite fitting really as he took me on their at my first match against spurs in 1979....it was however the away end in those days and when questioned he replied with ..."well its where my dad always took me"...Jesus he was bloody senile back then!
December 9, 201114 yr I'd also forgotten the mildy amusing attempts of Bobby Robson and Nat Lofthouse trying to squeeze the centre spot into a carrier bag -
December 9, 201114 yr Front of the Manny road terrace. Only a young kid but still remember a lot from that night!!
December 9, 201114 yr Two main memories from that day - 1) the match and the event itself 2) the fact that on the morning of the game the IRA issued bomb warnings on all motorways. Thus at 9 in the morning I'm thinking how the hell am I going to get up to it from th'East Midlands as all the main roads were shut. Train came to the rescue, but some London Whites were unlucky enough to try the drive and ended up watching the game in a boozer in Worksop, poor sods
December 9, 201114 yr I wouldn't mind ending this current season with only 50% of the last Burnden season.
December 9, 201114 yr I have watched the pre-match stuff and have had more than a few tears in my eye... what a gentleman Sir Nat was. I spent many of my happiest days there and miss it a lot. I must be getting old, K feel myself wanting to say what my seniors used to say to me when growing up. Time goes on... but contrary to the song... Things don't always get better
December 9, 201114 yr 23:20 on the first clip, Interviwer: How do you think Bolton will do next season in the Premier League> Fan: 4 or 5 signings and they can win it. Ha ha ha ha ha what a clown!!!!!
December 10, 201114 yr Casino having a go at Kevin Lynch, the ref, in the tunnel after the game never a fcuking penalty
