Great 3 points. Mavies MOM but team worked hard and showed some strength for once. We have been just too weak in the past.

Following wins against Wigan and Stoke this will be the third chance to put a run together. The defeats to sunderland and wba were poor after a great win so if last night was massive the next two are massive massive.

Get in.

And for all you Wanderers fans we owe it to our forfathers. All those lads n lasses who went watching 'And Did Those Feet' at the Octagon Theatre owe it to our previous supporters, the lad who walked

1-0 to the Whites, Klasnic to score on half time

With our injury luck this season wouldn't surprise me to see alonso with a broken ankle.

I'm glad coyle resisted the urge to bring davies on late on.

Davies on means we resort to long ball by default.

We need to keep knocking the ball on the floor late on though instead of resorting to long balls.

Gave away possesion too cheaply last ten.

Most of it's been said - great 1st half, nervous as fuck 2nd, fans superb - great win but we have to follow it up.

Alonso looked really good but if he's broke something the curse of the fullback strikes again gutted how many more kicks in the bollox are we gonna get on the injury front madness - mind you ricketts is back

Actually looking forward to going to the next game. Haven't for a while! :D

Right, im off to have a ganders at a Rovers forum, just for a laugh. :yahoo:

I feel hungover and did not even have a drink

I was quite surprised at how behind Coyle your support was last night.

Is this site full of miserable fuckers, or 2 faced fuckers singing along last night ??

Alonso & Petrov were solid for us. Rightly so Petrov has had dogs abuse of late, but some of his crosses to the back post and runs late on were excellent.

Ngog looked fooked late on, but his hold up play early on with Klasnic was great which helped out NRC (MOM) and Muamba.

Well done whites, roll on Newcastle & fingers crossed with results tonight.

Put me down as two faced but I think alot saw the team and thought right come on we've a chance and he picked it!

you can support him and the team, while still thinking he's a clueless fcuker

Casino, I can't believe you bit. I thought it poor bait myself.

Getting behind Coyle and the team no bad thing for me, I see no value in booing my own team, as demonstrated by Blackburn.

Maybe you think differently

i never sang a coyle song all night. getting grumpy in my old age

but got behind the team. tbh i was suprised at how vocal the fans were around me with regards to Coyle as the general opinion is he should go?? fickle or caught up in the moment?

anyway decent following and a very welcome 3 points

maybe it was a reflection he had done summat right and the menaing of the result took president for a while, :pardon:

May be mistaken, but i'm sure his name was being sung even before our first went in?

I watched it on the tv because I'm a shit fan & yes, it was sung from the whistle being blown.

still not convinced with Ngog , very lightweight and his touch is hit and miss, and pratley how did you not hit the target at the death jesus wept

Pratley's shit, that's how, mate. :D

HTH.

As we broke away for the first goal in fact

Gave away possesion too cheaply last ten. BY RESORTING TO LONG BALL IN THE HOPE OF JUST GETTING RID SO MAYBE, JUST MAYBE, HAVING A TARGET MAN UP FRONT IF YOU'RE GOING TO HOOF IT UPFIELD ANYWAY MIGHT JUST HAVE STOPPED IT COMING BACK. IT'S LONG BEEN SAID THAT DAVIES WOULD MAKE A GREAT IMPACT SUB. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN HIS MOMENT TO SHINE AND PUT ONE OVER ON HIS FORMER CLUB.

I agree that davies being brought on would have helped but by bringing tuncay on the intention should be to avoid going long because tuncay and klasnic are not as good in the air. Maybe it was just fear of losing the lead but i'd prefer us to be brave and keep the ball rather than knock it long.

So would I but, as already pointed out, we had more skilful players on the pitch and still hoofed it out of danger. As it happens the tactic worked but it so easily may not have done.

If Samba had of put that header away in the last minute I would have twatted Darren Pratley.

Great win last, still buzzing now even though I'm rough as hell and in work. Need to follow it up now with a good result on Monday.

COYFWM :drinks:
