HomerJay Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Nah, what's the point, you're obviously set in your ways and nothing gonna change that. Quote

Youri Djorkaeff Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 You said you hate Evra even more now for reporting it, which i just struggle to understand mate :/ "No, on one condition - every other hurtful personal insult gets the same treatment. "I nip round to fuck your missus whilst you are out", "honky", "snowflake" - everything. This is the way you want the world to be so it's one rule for everyone. Is this the Brave New World you aspire to? What do you think the consequences would be if we allowed players and fans to continually get away with it? Haven't a fcuking clue. Riots in Moss Side, Bradford and Bristol? No go zone immigrant ghettoes for police? These must never happen. Hang on a minute" Yes, its common sense that there is a difference between certain unsults. You call someones mum a slag at school you get less punishment than if you call them a "paki." Its pretty obvious that the latter is worse than a childish insult. I've no idea why you are rambling on about brave new world or no go immigrant ghettos. Allowing football fans and players to get away with racism isnt going to lead to ghetto riots Bolty, not sure what your getting at here..... Inequalities between races are because of inequalities in education the economy and institutional racism in the police force. Lets not get sidetracked here mate, the situation is simple. Suarez racially abused another player and as such he has been banned for 8 games. A clear message has been sent out that racism will not be tolerated within football. I hope if Terry is proved guilty he suffers the same punishment. Game over Quote
dingdangdo Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 I was getting Preston You've stumped me there BD - where does Preston fit in here? Quote
dingdangdo Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 I was getting Preston Born Townleys in 59, lived in Astley Bridge, Heaton, Halliwell before moving away finally ending up in the land of roundabouts and concrete cows Quote

dingdangdo Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 First day back there today. Soul destroying. Indeed - did work in Preston for a year or so - in the town centre - shithole innit! Quote

Clearly having difficulty understanding the concept of good banter. Allowing football fans and players to get away with racism isnt going to lead to ghetto riots Bolty, not sure what your getting at here..... Inequalities between races are because of inequalities in education the economy and institutional racism in the police force. Fook me, it's 'long bow' time again. You completely disregard a failure to integrate then? Lets not get sidetracked here mate, the situation is simple. Suarez racially abused another player and as such he has been banned for 8 games. A clear message has been sent out that racism will not be tolerated within football. I hope if Terry is proved guilty he suffers the same punishment. Game over. It will just be another foot down the slippery slope if it happens. Give it time, you'll see. It will be taken advantage of. We'll just agree to disagree then. Don't get me going on the terminology for a person from Pakistan. They will always be a P*** to me - just as an Australian will be an Aussie or a someone from Scotland a Scot. I do concede however, that some of the brain dead morons who use the term in a derogatory fashion and direct it at Indians or Sri Lankans should have their dole money stopped. Quote

Aye Bolty lets do that The problem with P*** is that 90% of the people who are called so are actually from a completely different country. As you said by brain dead morons so its best for everyone if we just dont use the term Quote
bolty58 Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Expecting that further life will be given to this thread now the official statements from Liverpool and Suarez are out. Both seem perfectly reasonable to me but I am sure that the visceral hatred of all things Liverpool by some will come to the fore and we'll see some more 'vermin' and 'rat faced dago' rants shortly. They are a bunch of self pitying, whining 'justice' seekers and I normally would not give them the time of day. In this case, however, they have my sympathy because I believe they have been harshly treated as a result of the regrettable, conniving actions of a spiteful little twat. Quote
Pablo Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Did I hear right on the radio, Suarez kicked Evra, because he was black, and admitted it ???? And Dalglish still backs him ?? Quote
Zico Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Did I hear right on the radio, Suarez kicked Evra, because he was black, and admitted it ???? And Dalglish still backs him ?? Dalglish really is a bellend: Transcript of Kenny Dalglish's press conference about Luis Su?rez http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/jan/04/kenny-dalglish-luis-suarez-transcript "Ask a linguistic expert, which certainly I am not. They will tell you that the part of the country in Uruguay where he [Luis Su?rez] comes from, it is perfectly acceptable. His wife calls him that and I don't think he is offended by her." and "There's a lot of things we'd like to say and a lot we could say but we would only get ourselves in trouble. We are not trying to be evasive ? well, we are being evasive because we don't like getting ourselves in trouble" Quote
onlyoneawalker Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 I've not posted anything on this yet as I personally think it should be steered well clear of on messages boards when all sorts of thigns can be taken out of context or not as intended. However having heard Kenny Dalglishs comments it is utterly disgusting at a time (coincidentally admittedly) when racial predjudice is in all the headlines he needs to learn a lesson in humility it beggars belief that such insensitivity can be masked by promoting a siege mentality and "we'll do whatever we want because he's one of ours" another sickening example of the arrogance of "top" premier league football clubs nothing matters but their world - yes the full truth may not have come out according to them but for once just see the bigger picture. Quote
Pablo Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 This is not a new attitude, from that Club. Quote
onlyoneawalker Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 This is not a new attitude, from that Club. It's not and I have nothing but contempt for them but this really takes it to another level - the pride some football managers take in this stinking simplistic attitude that if "he wears red he's ok and he if doesn't he's not" is beyond my comprehension Quote
