Agreed.

I hope that this stance by 'them', does not get forgotten, and brushed under that magic carpet they have.

Following LFC?s defeat last night, another statement has been released from Anfield,

LFC Statement :

?The FA will claim that we lost the game, purely on TV evidence. This is subjective. Our players claim we won the game 3-0.

We stand by them, they will never walk alone?

It was embarrassing at the time and now even more so.

Maybe their fans will get off their persecuted high horses too. Doubtful though.

Speaking to a Liverpool fan last night and just happened to mention Suarez' racist comments. He really did go off on one, pretty much saying Evra is paid well enough to take it, Suarez would never say it, yadda, yadda, yadda,

He really started to boil over when I told him he'd been brainwashed by the LFC ideology yet, by failing to appeal, they are admitting his guilt.

I right enjoyed my little discussion. ::lol::

Xenophobic? yes.

Racist? no.

wouldn't even say he was xenophobic, just extremely fucked off because his head hurts, is bleeding and he's in pain/angry about it

dalglish still saying suarez did nowt wrong and referring to some agenda

is it not time he was charged for some of his comments

I've not heard him say how the language used & how it was used by Suarez isn't right in a civilised society.

He really is embarrassing himself and the club. They really have no shame.

Yeah that's it - if someone says someting you don't like - throw the book at him

Pathetic

The fact that LFC have reluctantly accepted his punishment but not his guilt makes him less likely to curb his instintive comments in future!

So you think that people thoughts and actions can be controlled by punishments?

Are you making a serious point there?

So somone who disagrees with your point must be brainwashed? Or could it be that they just don't agree with you - maybe you're the brainwashed one? Brain addled by Tony Blair/New Labour authoritarian ban everything that moves thinking.

aye, of course it is

dalglish is calling into question the integrity of the INDEPENDENT committee

do you think that's acceptable

i've read the report and he's lucky plod haven't got involved, yet

I've not posted anything on this yet as I personally think it should be steered well clear of on messages boards when all sorts of thigns can be taken out of context or not as intended.

However having heard Kenny Dalglishs comments it is utterly disgusting at a time (coincidentally admittedly) when racial predjudice is in all the headlines he needs to learn a lesson in humility it beggars belief that such insensitivity can be masked by promoting a siege mentality and "we'll do whatever we want because he's one of ours" another sickening example of the arrogance of "top" premier league football clubs nothing matters but their world - yes the full truth may not have come out according to them but for once just see the bigger picture.

Interesting you say "when racial predjudice is in all the headlines". I note you didn't say "when racial prejudice is at an all time low". The latter statement is true - so it's worth asking yourself - why is there so much official anti racism these days - when racism is actually pretty much a thing of the past?

And does he really need lessons in humility? So anyone who kicks against the authoritarian dogma of political correctness needs lessons in humility? Maybe we should support those that fight back? It's not easy these days when the illiberati get hold of you and launch a twitterstorm.

And maybe you're guilty of not seeing the bigger picture?

Independent! Are you serious? Who are those bureaucratic boffins? Who elected them into their esteemed positions as high priest of morality? Do me a favour...

A friend of mine came back to this country a few yaers ago, after spending most of his life in South Africa,

He stated his belief that this was the most racially tolerant country on Earth!

That made me feel quite proud

Do feel however there is a danger of polical correctness, legislation etc creating a situation where people are concerned to even discuss race etc. Too easy to be labelled a racist.

However, Suarez has been found Guilty of an offence within the disciplinary system and has been punished accordingly by an independent committee.

Same for everybody, clubs know the rules. Get on with it.

Sadly, Dalglish always seems to adopt a confrontational attitude in every press conference, with a spiky comments all the time.

A truly strange character who I've never liked, actually fiollowing previous form. As my brother said last night, he'll only last a couple of years and be off again. He may have done LFC some damage in the meantime

Aye Bolty lets do that :db:

The problem with P*** is that 90% of the people who are called so are actually from a completely different country. As you said by brain dead morons so its best for everyone if we just dont use the term

This raises a good point which was raised in that ridiculous waste of time report. They went on and on and on about subjectivity and objectivity - did Suarez subjectively mean to racially abuse Evra? Or can you convict based on the objectivity of his words when taken out of context. The twats got their knickers in a twist over that one for sure.

I guess we've all got mates from all kinds of different ethnic backgrounds. What's ok to say to one might be something you don't say to another because for a whole variety of reasons. Subjectively I wouldn't intentionally racially offend anyone - but I might call my best asian mate a fucking paki and he calls me something similar and we get another beer in and think nothing of it. There again I have other mates I probably don't know as well where I would be a bit more careful...maybe I cross the line in an attempt to test the water and end up offending a pal. Am I a racist? Of course not. Should I be punished for a failed attempt at humour - under current legislation I could be charged for the use of racist language.

Did Suarez mean to racially abuse Suarez - well the so call independent paneil deemed he had because objectively speaking the word spanish word negro (or negrito) was deemed (objectively) racist. The panel of bureaucrats didn't find Suarez guilty of an subjective racism - how could they? They would have to prove his racist intent which was impossible. So this was not a fair trail at all - and his punishment was unjust, unfair and morally inept.

The focus on words not deeds is a minefield - and, apart from satifsying the bloodlust of the punishing class, achieves zero in terms of tacking what's left of racism in this country.

Ask yourself this - we're all anti racists now aren't we? We all buy into this PC language and pride ourselves on our anti racist credentials? We feel good when attacking anyone who falls foul of the anti racist langaue code? But let me ask you a question?

Where do you stand on immigration?

its nothing to do with fcuking morality

the language used was against the law of the land

if you don't like that, tough shit

I don't like the fact that we don't have the freedom to speak as we find - do you?

Speak as you find? So we should all be free to say whatever we want irrelevant of how offensive and obnoxious it is?

Is there a point on the political spectrum where left wing merges with right?

I think I like our society's rules as they are, thanks.

As we have discussed before, freedom of speech is a basic tenet of a free and democratic society. Like dingdangdo, I am concerned that the PC meddlers are getting too much power and it won't be long before they are trying to control your thoughts as well as your speech and actions. In effect they already are as, since 'New Labour', a contemporary method of brainwashing via propaganda appears to have been a great success.

So we all have the right to be obnoxious and offensive to others?

It's fuck all to do with being PC or New Labour, it's to do with my upbringing. Clearly my mother is a social engineer.

There's some paranoid bollocks written on here by those on edges of each wing.
