January 8, 201214 yr Ricketts is only just back from injury and he's played two games in a short time which is probably why he was rested yesterday. Yeh i know that i should have said 'fully fit'. I would have rested him yesterday too. and unfortunately every other player we have that can play that position is injured. Hence Robbo playing.
January 8, 201214 yr If Stoke offer ?3m I think I'd consider selling if I was Coyle, he can be a liability at times. If Stoke offer ?3 I would get rid of him
January 8, 201214 yr Author I've had 24 hours to consider my view on Robinson and i was wrong! He's worse than i said There is a song written especially for him.. the lyrics aren't particularly hard to remember but if you follow it through the last line was written especially for him it starts..... Time to go... Time to go Robinsons song through and through Edited January 8, 201214 yr by jazza
January 8, 201214 yr It seems the Macc fans agree. There's a post on Wraggs to Riches forum about Robinson being the worst defender ever. Edited January 8, 201214 yr by freds dad
January 8, 201214 yr robbo was'nt the only having a bad game like someone said davies and pratley were both terrible to me davies looked like he been told he can go so just thought why the fuck should i try the trouble is we're trying to rest players and save them for the league matches but we're replacing em with people who can't even be botherd to fight for the cause if they're told they can go then they'll just think about them selves so no goin into challenges were they might get hurt i tell ya ther's gonna have to be one fucking major overall in the summer
January 8, 201214 yr This Macc fan's got it got it right !! "WORST DEFENDER I HAVE SEEN THIS SEASON has to be Paul Robinson - how the hell does he command Premier League wages. I know Colin Daniel is a good player but he murdered him constantly all game The East Thurrock and Chelmsford defence were no worse than this clown - Either he didnt care or he really is just garbage Fantastic performance from the whole Macc team but Premier League - You really are having a larf with this guy!!!!!" http://www.fansonline.net/macclesfieldtown/mb/view.php?id=76993

January 9, 201214 yr For ?30 I'll drive up, collect him, and then deliver him to Mr Pulis in person What? With the price of fuel these days? ?75 should cover it though: I'll pop the cheque in the post tomorrow.
January 9, 201214 yr the lads crap and not quick enough to play full back against premier league wingers. He's a top lad though and gives 100% so maybe his attitude is a good one to have in the dressing room and useful for younger players but that still doesnt mean Coyle has to keep playing him.
January 9, 201214 yr Even i he had a great attitude, the younger lads would much sooner take advice from someone that can actually play the game.
January 9, 201214 yr Would such players ever bother to offer advice? Do we have such players? Edited January 9, 201214 yr by HomerJay
January 9, 201214 yr Yes they would, because I reckon OC would encourage the older players to speak to the younger ones and the younger ones to listen.
January 9, 201214 yr Author Yes they would, because I reckon OC would encourage the older players to speak to the younger ones and the younger ones to listen. Someone has to motivate them, OC seems to be struggling to do it!
January 9, 201214 yr Made me laugh watching the highlights. A macc player skins Robinson by tapping the ball down the line, leaving Robinson for dead. All came to nothing then cameras showed Robbo having a go at the linesman holding his hands 6" apart and trying to convince himhe'd missed the ball go that far over the line. Clutching at straws comes to mind. You wouldn't have kept up with him if he'd given you ten yards start.
January 9, 201214 yr My mate is a macc fan. Couldn't believe how shit robinson was. The guy that skinned him by the touchline in 2nd half is a bit part player for them. Also stated tha KD 's legs had gone too

Robinson been complaining to the ref all season every time he gets skinned the lad knows himself he has gone, the plus point is Coyle seems to have finally identified the problem and now has other options, meaning Robinson barring injuries will not feature again, I genuinely belive he is one of the main reason we have had a shocking 6 months and we can now move forward and should improve over the last few months of the season.
January 9, 201214 yr It was a bit harsh though Bolton fans shouting 'off off off' to the ref when he gave Robbo a talking to.

January 9, 201214 yr It was interesting to see on Saturday being so close to the pitch and being able to hear the players communicating that Robinson was so quick to lay into team mates and blame them for things he himself was doing wrong! It's been a breath of fresh air in the games recently with Ricketts and even Alonso against Blackburn to have an actual footballer playing at left back
