February 2, 201214 yr Thread especially for pabbers... Mavies' contract runs out in 2014. So in the close season we must get him signed up for longer. This lad will play for England, maybe not while with us but we don't want another cahill scenario. From a business perspective, he could be our biggest ever sale. Top, top footballer and improving with every game. But the type if player that will only excel with better players around him. Can you imagine him in a team where others are on the same wavelength. Needs to cut that diving shit out though. Whys I've posted in here is anyones guess. Somebody shift it. Ta Edited February 2, 201214 yr by HomerJay
February 2, 201214 yr Reckon Taggart will be sniffing around him very soon, he is just what their midfield needs
February 2, 201214 yr cracking player. great vision and very quick his change of pace is frightening and he is very exciting to watch. My biggest thing about him last year is that he wouldn't shoot when he had the chance to, but he seems to have got over that he seems to have picked up a lot from Jack Wilshere.. Get him on a new contract and as long as he stays injury free no doubt he'll get called up in that england set up and will attract a couple of bigger teams.
February 2, 201214 yr I've been his biggest fan when many others weren't But this is hysteria at it's worst England?? Miles off. One day maybe, but he has to improve and be far more consistent
February 2, 201214 yr I'm with Jules. Always thought the lad is mustard. He's improving all the time, though a fair distance from international recognition. He will give us a 8 figure transfer fee, if kept injury free, he'll also be gone before or on next january's transfer window, so no panic over the length of his contract Edited February 2, 201214 yr by BOWTUN BAKED
February 2, 201214 yr Owen Coyle & David Lee for starters Surprise, surprise Another 6-12months & Coyle will be whoreing him the press Cahill-esque. ?15M+ etc etc
February 2, 201214 yr If he has 2 years left then its a must to sign him up. In today's market you would have to pay at least 7-8 million to replace him. Always liked him and he is looking better every game - helps that he is finally getting a consistent run.
February 2, 201214 yr Author Closest player too him I can think of is Ramsey How much would he cost? Is he better or worse?
February 2, 201214 yr just to think some moron (not looked who but no apologies coming if it was you) linked him to Hull in the transfer window just gone
February 2, 201214 yr Davies is contracted until 2015. His original deal was extended. It's Holden and Chungy who'll be the tricky ones. Both have one year left at the end of the season.
February 2, 201214 yr Massive fan of the lad. I firmly believe that 4-5-1 has improved his game. He's given more freedom to roam with three in centre midfield and doesn't have to rely on defending as much as he would in a 4-4-2.
February 2, 201214 yr Yes get him signed up long term. The sooner the better otherwise other clubs will be sniffing around him.
February 2, 201214 yr Top player and has something special with his ability to run and carry the ball and tight control can't think of too many England players have this ability, he has too keep this form up when clubs wise up to him and if he does he has every chance of getting a game in an England shirt.

February 2, 201214 yr He will be a cracking player but at the moment he's not consistant enough for me. Maybe it to do with the midfield he's playing in.
February 2, 201214 yr davis in the form he is in pairing up with holden in midfield will be immense. just a shame were gonna have to wait a few months.

February 2, 201214 yr Great first half last night but disappeared in the 2nd, and remember him running into nowhere with the ball and getting easily bumped over which made him look Sunday league. Impressive though.
February 2, 201214 yr As mentioned earlier, he needs to cut that diving shit out. The dive for Vermaelan's booking was embarassing.

February 3, 201214 yr Owen Coyle & David Lee for starters Surprise, surprise Another 6-12months & Coyle will be whoreing him in the press Cahill-esque. ?15M+ etc etc Bloody 'ell, reet on cue http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/wanderers/wanderersnews/9504175.Reebok_star_could_be_another_Gazza/
February 3, 201214 yr Holden and Davies centre mid together in a 4-4-2 would be a massive gamble: it could be immense or fucking horrific.... I'd wager with our wide men mainly the latter
