My mate is good friends with sammy( use to be a football liaison for wanderers and Blackburn) and they met yesterday before sammy went meeting gartside about the youth team job. He said he has signed as director of coaching and starts Monday.... Happy days imo

Sammy Lee would certainly pack the stay-away fans into the ground.

Sammys main problem was going from coach to manager with the same set of players. Hard to go from the friendly go between to the face of authority - especially when youre only 4ft!!

I think he'll do a decent job now hes not the main man.

By taking Sammy Lee back on again (good decision IMO) does this mean there's an admission there somewhere that our coaching set-up simply isn't/wasn't good enough?

 

If so, it's a step in the right direction.

I heard that he is being brought in to work firectly with the development squad (inbetween youth and reserves) as a few of them are really hot prospects and they want his experience to help bring them through.
