I think refs are worse I don't think they're worse its just with a massive number of camera angles to view in super slow mo and 24/7 media streams to fill their decisions are more closely scrutinized.

February 16, 201214 yr Fair points, but Atwell has made some absolute horror decisions that would've looked like horror decisions even in fast forward, let alone super slo-mo. There must be some damn good refs out there at a lower level who have been trying to make the step-up for years ... and then along comes someone in their 20s who is fast tracked to the very highest level and awards a goal when the ball did not even go between the posts. We all make mistakes in our work and we'd not be human if we didn't. A referee's job is also a thankless and at times nigh on impossible job thanks to the dishonesty of players ... but he's made FAR too many fcuk-ups.
