for some reason i think he is there for the long haul. i think he will get the financial backing this summer as long as he gets rid of the deadwood and the high earners and start to make his own team.

he does look a bit lost, maybe he needs some more experienced coaches along side him as well, there seems like a lot of egos in the team some who's age isn't too different to his which i think will have a factor when it comes to him trying to get the best out of them, sturridge said there isn't a divide in the changing room, i beg too differ some of the players don't look like they have ever played together.

I agree that for too long the 'senior' players have had too much power, but to continue to pick the likes of Mereiles and Ramires, especially during a time like this, ahead of Lampard and Essien is plain foolish.

 

Also, as good a footballer as David Luiz is, he ain't a defender.

For some reason I just don't like this AVB character. I'm not sure that he has been brought in as a henchman but he is defo looking to completely transform the squad and playing style. When Mourinho was at Chelsea even though he was succesful Abromovich wanted the team to play with more flair and that is what he thinks he's getting with this mon. I was amazed to hear that last weekend was only his 100th game as a manager. I think he will get the time to see through his 'project' but his credentials for getting the job in the first place are open to question.

All the "big guns" will be back for the next game and keen to prove a point.

 

They'll fucking murder their next opponents. I feel sorry for whoever's getting that dicking.

Cahill has shown, when playing alongside an accomplished defender, he can do the job at the highest level. He's proved this in my eyes playing for ENgland alongside Terry. I think though that Cahill does need a 'talker' alongside him though, and we all know how much Terry likes to open his gob.

 

Luiz, on the other hand, showed last night with Napolis third goal he simply doesn't have defender's instincts. Any CB worth his salt would've just nodded that out for a corner. Luiz has a lot of faith in his own ability and rightly so. Trouble is there's a time and a place to 'play football' and he seems to do it all in the wrong places. Luiz and Cahill for the above reasons are a very bad pairing.

 

Luiz, playing the Campo role, I think would be a sensation. With him and Terry as a CB pairing behind I think would make Chelsea a very difficult side to breakdown, just as they always used to be.

 

As I said earlier, if he plays Luiz alongside Cahill and Mereiles alongside Ramires we've got a fantastic chance on Saturday.

Just hope Bolton play fair and take the foot off the gas pedal when we are 5-0 up.
