Whatever you may think of the US Military, it's truly harrowing to think what those soldiers/rangers/marines went through. Seeing a woman coming towards you with what appears to be a baby in a blanket. Do you open fire on them as for all you know they've got an AK47 under that blanket?? Not a nice choice to have to make.

I'm half way through watching it now, watched the first hour this morning before work and will finish it off after footy tonight... enjoying it so far. 8 Day War was enjoyable, about journalists covering the Russian invasion of Georgia. I would recommend it.
February 23, 201214 yr I'd definitely recommend the book if you're into reading pal. Totally absorbing and gripping and gives a far better insight into the whole operation. A true 'unputdownable' book but also very distressing as you know it's all true ... particularly the bits involving Randy Shughart and Gary Gordon.
