  • There's no need for it to be played by next Monday at all.   Everton's replay isn't until next Tuesday, so at worst a one-off game could take place next Wednesday (which is when our replay would hav

Surely we can't do that, whatever the circumstances

We shouldn't pull out. I am sure Fabrice wouldn't want us to.

does that 1-1 result stand then or was the game a non result?

It will be a non result and the tie will start over.

If we make the semi, it'll be on the Sunday, as Liverpool won't want to play on the 15th April.

I'd prefer the game to continue at 1-1 and on 40 minutes, maybe though it could be played at a neutral ground at 0-0, the game yesterday wasn't important but we were the better side at the time and we're giving it a really good go.

I think football is totally irrelevant at the moment so if we where to pull out I would fully understand. Although I do know that Fab would be telling the lads to get out there and win the fucker.

I think that would be the viewed shared by most. I guess until we know the full extent, nothing will be decided.

If we did pull out, then if I was a Spurs fan, It'd not feel right for us to get a bye into the semi final in these circumstances, we still have to play Spurs in the League at the Reebok, these games will always bring back memories of what happened now, I suppose it all depends on if Fab can survive, but it would be fitting if we could win it for Muamba, a bit like Barca and Abidal, football won't be on the minds of Bolton players now, even in 1 week with Blackburn, are they going to be able to focus on preparation/training for what is a huge game.

There's enough weeks left to fill in postponed games.

I think there are rules in place for situations like abandonment. http://www.thefa.com/thefacup/more/~/media/B0843CD234E44374AF4C9B4420BE6F68.ashx

If say Bolton were 2-0 up with a few minutes left before full time, would an abandoned match mean it starts at 0 minutes and 0-0 again, not that football matters over a persons life but It'd be unfair for the losing side to get another go att hings all level,

I can't remember an abandoned game involving Bolton, I remember Real Madrid playing a rearranged game and that started on like 75 minutes.

If it's only a few minutes before full time, the result will stand. I think the rule is 80 minutes.

P.S. Dont forget, life is very rarely fair.

The game i recall getting abandoned is the New Year home game with Everton. Peter Ried broke his leg but I'm pretty sure it was the continually falling snow that got the game called off rather than the broken leg.
