Fairly certain no one is arsed, but we're still buzzing so I'm telling you all anyway.  We got incredibly lucky, thankfully! Weather was spot on and it properly set the tone for a perfect day, co

absolutely glorious here on the mersey riviera today

Blue sky all over here too. Birds singing at the back, looks like spring is here.

The Shires are now also bathed in blue sky and sunshine......very different from just a few hours ago

It won't be, talking of which, he's just come back from Candolim and reckon it's gone downhill massively......not due to the Russians as you might expect (apparently they've taken over Calengute) but the Brits, every bar is doing Karaoke each night now, and it's supposed to be a "Blackpool"  -  I think when we go back, we'll move a little further North or South.

It's a shame, as Candolim was great a few years ago, we noticed it starting to change when we were last there 3 years ago

Yeah I can imagine, we last went 4 years ago around this time of year and it had changed quite a bit from when we went 14 months previously. We went up to Morjim one day, might try that next time we go. Either that or proper south.

I got sent a picture from our taxi driver the other day, he's upgraded his shit loaf of bread on wheels with carpet on the roof to a brand new Toyata with air-con!

Thought that just now. Heard birds I've not heard for a few months.

Not counting chickens yet though...

This is winter has been superb so far. Obviously a soaking wet flood ridden summer will follow suit.

Birds have been going mad for a few weeks now. Even had a large number of starlings settle in trees nearby; like a mini-murmuration, noisy buggers too.

I can guarantee if I were to step off a plane there today, they would be running for shelter within an hour :(

That's nothing to do with the weather though.....

It's fookin smashing like this.

Overcast and 1 degrees. Whiff of snow in the air. Perfect conditions ????????

The lad has been off skoo wi chicken pox all week and is going a bit stir crazy.

I said I'd take him to the park today.

Have to come up with another plan as it's far too cold for that nonsense

Give over. Take your axe with you and find an old fallen tree to chop up. You'll keep warm.

Fucking hell, did you see that couple who'd moved from London to Yukon last night? Not for me that.

I didnt- what was it on; might see if its on demand.

There are some loons out there.

Channel 4 last night. Escape to the Wild.

Last week was an Indonesian island. I love it over there but would probably struggle living in basic conditions. They had a small child and a baby on the way too.

Once saw one of these yank shows about these Alaskan wilderness dwellers. Bonkers. One mon disappears with his woman and rifle on the hunt for a deer/moose. Eventually blammed one then had to lump it over mountains etc to get it home.

Not like picking blackberries!

I might be warm but I imagine my 4yr old may struggle with the splitting axe

Snowing over in the east

Nice to look at but isn't sticking

Best of both worlds

it'll do you good!

Good?!!! Twas a 5 mile goat track up and down stony paths and through knee high mud.  Took 3 hours and my ankle and knees are fucked. Half metre wide paths with 200 ft sheer drops at the side for 500 yards of it. Was frozen solid when we got to the Stubbins Wharf pub. The wife got it in the neck for a total lack of reconnaissance. :argue: . Not the pleasant stroll through the countryside I had anticipated.
