Midfield Options

No pratley

No muamba

Ream in the centre would mean knight back in and I'm not convinced about either in those positions really

Sean Davis? If he's playing ok at wherever he is then get him in there.

or risk 442?

why do i have a sneaking suspicion nixon read vela's name on here, then asked the question of coyle.?

i bet vela wont even be on the bench

he was on the bench for both games v spurs, so reckon he'll def be involved at least on the bench now we're another midfielder down - don't think Nixon needs to come on here to get squad idea questions for Coyle

what I want to know is

"He has ability. He is going to be a terrific player. I turned down a big offer for him from a top club in August, so I have belief in him"

a bid from who?

When Ryo moved more central later on vs QPR he looked more effective, up until then I didnt think he had a good game, too predictable dink and go.

I would like to see him in the Pratley role playing of N'Gog, much more positive than throwing in Ream who has had 2 goes in that position and done nowt.

predictable dink

Shocking.

Surely if Vela was going to start he would have got a run out v Spurs. Only way we will see him is if we are 3 up, 15 or less to play.

He was also the best player on the pitch against Blackburn playing on the right. I'd rather leave him out there to tear the Wolves LB a new arsehole (hopefully).

Give Vela a go.

Fresh, highly rated, and hopefully fearless.

They'll know nothing about him either.

Don't really buy all this about not wanting to risk his future- what does it say to him if, when others are injured, Coyle plays a central defender in there?

get him in the mixer

why the fcuk did coyle not take last night as an opportunity to try vela

Suppose he might have looked at Pratley on a stretcher and thought he'd better save his last midfielder for Saturday, just in case.

According to the official website Coyle has already mentioned using him at Wolves so thats where the Nixon report is based on.

If he has got the talent then he needs to be given a go; if Coyle thinks he might not be ready then play Ngog deeper and put Klasnic up top - its Wolves and we need to attack them not sit back. Play too deep and Wolves will take advantage - go at them and they will fold like they have done in recent home games

Ream in MD with bringing back the hoofer, Ricketts there with Alonsa starting, SKD there and all the other suggestions are suicide IMO

maybe he should have taken reo coker off, too

Anyone get a bad feelin its gonna be 4-4-2?

yep...with Eagles to "steady the ship"

Eagles has been good in some games this season but Tuesday night I could have killed the bloke; it wasn't as bad as playing with 10 men it was worse - it was like 12 for them and 10 for us. Apart from a deflected shot I cant remember him doing anything positive for us - lost the ball every time. Unfortunately Ryo wasn't too far behind him in terms of getting roasted by the tart fullback with the bun on his head. Still cant get that Tuesday night performance out of my head but by 3pm today I will be OK

Vela all the way..

If he's good enough he's old enough

I don't recall too many games where he's been good. I just hope it's the games he thinks we can win that he decides to have a good game because today's the day.

It was ream against city and ream against spurs. Fits the pattern that ream will play in centre mid today. Wolves are shit in midfield. Judge him as a midfielder after today.

Would be nice to see what vela is about though.

I just want today out of the way. A 'mistimed' tackle today could be more disastrous for our run-in than a defeat.

They wouldn't, would they?

442 it is, n gog and klasnic start!
