Arnold Jackson Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 I had a dream last night that a few of the normally rational WW posters had been kidnapped. In a cunning plan, so as to go undetected before ransom demands had been finalised, these fans were systematically replaced by a lot of old women from local post offices around the country. The replacement women chosen were all selected based on their ability to believe and pass on excitedly the most unlikely rumours they'd (mis)overheard pegging out their washing! It was horrible as suddenly the most ludicrous, negative, bird-brained conspiracy theories and 'spit your dummy out', b*llsh*t rumours were being posted. I got up this morning and before logging on I nipped to buy some stamps and a lovely old dear in the queue told me that Fulham had made a bid for David Ngog! She also went on to explain that, like the bid from Swansea for Mark Davies, we had turned it down because we don't want/need to sell. She said she expected both clubs may come back with an improved offer. I'm sorry to pass on idle speculation but she said she'd heard from a reliable source at Bingo that if we got in a stupid bid of 8 Million we may change our policy and accept! Quote

Arnold Jackson Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 We've got a policy ??? Ha ha .. Yes the poor old dear seemed to think we were trying to assemble a young, vibrant squad to entertain our fans by playing some nice football for years to come. She muttered some ramblings about only selling when the offers were ridiculous high and when an adequate 'like-for-like' replacement had been sounded out about joining us! Where do they get it from? Mounts Kipper Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 (edited) No doubt Ngogs bad back kept him injury free and prime for a move I dont think he was ever contemplating playing in the Championship I expect that deal to go through next week early doors, Owen Coyle going to need a magic wand to replace Davies and Ngog just before the start of the season If as I have precicted from day 1 of us being relegated that our best players would leave. I am just waiting for the LCY interest its a certainty. Gartsides/Coyles comments that we do not need to sell will then be found out as blowing smoke up the fans arses, I just wish I was in the country for the Supporters club meeting (mind you I expect it will be put back with all the good news on the transfer dealing front) Edited August 12, 2012 by Mounts Kipper Quote

Big_Sharps Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 Rodwell to City - fee agreed Don't understand this one, only ever seems to play half a season and depending on the fee its a bit of a gamble. No doubting his ability and potential though. Quote

Depending how much he is down, after taking everything into account. If we have a policy at all, it's more like : Come & get 'em, any of 'em ............... but bring a fat chequebook. Maybe any sales will be in the form of good cash plus a decent player in a position we need to strengthen. I can always hope anyway. Quote

You are having a go at the club because two bids for players from other clubs have been rejected? NGog is wank, if anyone wants to pay money for him we should be happy and not moaning. NGog wont even be in our starting 11. Can't help it if other teams want our players and if they bid stupid amounts then so be it. But we are turning down bids below that. What exactly is the problem? There is plenty about BWFC to whinge about, but this is not it! Quote

Ah well, good luck to him. Bigger club ! i don't blame the lad going to a bigger club Pabs,he's never going to win anything at Goodison, other than player of the year in the Blue House. Bobby Zamora going back to Brighton, wouldn't be a bad punt for the toffees if you could afford him Wouldn't be surprised if Moyesey tried to poach Kev Davies from under Boro's nose re the Sammon deal, think Nixon was fishing with that one Edited August 12, 2012 by miamiwhite Quote
