Only benefit I can see in playing Alonso is that, it gives him regular games in England so he can fully adapt and maybe get a bit of confidence and show why the hell Real Madrid had him on their books in the first place. Eagles has not been playing any better than chung yong from what I have seen in fact last night in the second half Chung yong looked fast, sharp and a class above even the Barca team, in short he is QUALITY and the only reason Eagles will start is for the financial reasons.

He's going nowhere - no one will bid for a player whi hasn't played a full competitive game for ever a year.

 

He's playing less because he's still coming back from that injury.
