I want to see Sordell and Afobe start up front, Sordell looks like a great link up man and battler whilst Afobe is our only out and out striker. Lets hope he gets the goals.

 

LCY and Petrov are a given and rightly so.

 

That leaves 2 from Mark Davies, Prately, Andrews and Vela. The numbers are right, 4 for 2 places is about right especially with holden due back but the current 4 all seem attacking to me. We need to get a ball winner in and fuck one of the above off. Until that point who would be the best pair to do both a defense and attack job?

 

Fucked if I can find a 2 I am happy with. I would have to go Andrews and mark Davies. If these two are our first choice in the middle though I think automatic will be out of reach by Xmas. Not enough balance.

Early signs, reckon Bogdan could be under threat from Lonegran.

 

The main problem for our defence now is ricketts. Hes our best defender but the way owen has shaped the squad and the emergence of Riley, his number 1 position is now left back and I dont like him there.

 

I like Mears/riley/rickets at right back

 

I like alonso at left back

 

But i dont like rickets at left back.

 

Anyway, it is what it is.

 

I think owen goes with Mills and Knight with ream on the bench. Whiever it is i hope he sticks with the two until one is injured or suspendes, i do not want to see chopping and changing until we get a clean sheet. Pick your two and stick with them until you are forced to bring the other in.

 

Upfront, i think we all agree sordell starts. After that its 1 from 3 or even 2. Will he play Davies? I think he will, but not sure if thats right or wrong to be honest. We all know Ngog is better, but does being captain/leader outweigh the difference in ability? Again though, i dont want a different 2 every game, pick your best 2 and stick with them until you are forced to change.

 

Wings are sorted, as are andrews and mavies, the latter doesnt get a another full season of excuses though. Get your head down and do it, you aint one for the future anymore.

 

The last one is eagles deserves to start, but dont see how he can. Hopefully he spends the season fighting to make the starting XI as the rest are playing really well and we have a bit of luck with injuries and suspensions.

 

Trying to to think about holden as it aint looking good.
