Fathers Day

What's the point in having kids eh!

Having to rely on Mrs Dee to bring me my breakfast in bed as the kids that 'supposedly' live here haven't got home from being out last night!

I'm not having any next time!!

We never had it in our house. My dad said it was a load of old bollocks.

I did always get him a giant tube of smarties though because he was ace.

I got a load of socks and an IOU which I know will never come to anything more than the IOU.

It's the thought that counts. . . isn't it?

I got a text

i didnt get the season ticket i was hoping for... -_-

taking my old man for a pint later today...

I've had a text from the eldest and the other two are still in bed but will text me when they're up.

I tell them not to bother with cards and presents as its a money making scam.

Sod that mums get one (I know I know mothering Sunday is an actual tradition)

Still, bottle of red, new book and three hand splodged cards followed by lie in and then lunch out seem pretty good to me.

Still in bed and just finished my sausage and bacon on toast. Fathers day rocks !

Beteer get up now. I'm bored. How can a teenager lie in bed all day ?

just got a text and daughter is in the next room

I'll go and see my owd fella today at his home, he'll not know I've been, but he's my dad :)

200 fags, season ticket,an england mug,3 pressies I have not opened yet{got to wait till they come up}feel like slippers.Might be a money making scam bit it works for me

Surely buying ciggies for Fathers Day is a bit wrong

My Dad remembered it was my birthday yesterday and rang me at half 8 at night, I will return the favour at a similar time tonight.

Must be hoping for an early Will.

Can't remember last time I got a card

Both checked in with texts - always encouraged not to waste money on cards.

Interesting to see this is a common feature.

Took my old man for a round of Golf and beat him for the first time

You've got a son, I wish I had. Lucky fucker. I've spent my day watching my mates getting spoiled, I'll swap if you want. Your so lucky :)

I agree with your dad!!

From my 2 girls i got - 4 cards (2 home made)

6 bottles of Kronenberg

1 Big bottle San Miguel

A bottle of Brandy

A pair of "No1 Dad" socks

A packet of pistachio nuts

I didn't do the pub with the lads today, been at home with the family - and i enjoyed it.

Not seen the little ladies today as I was down south, but they did spoil me a with a card and a few knick-knacks which they gave me on Thursday. Disappointed not to get a phone call, text or be Facetimed.... but did receive a message via Facebook.

However, feeling a cunt as, for the first time ever, I didn't send my stepdad a card.... which for someone who worked in the greeting card business for over 30 years is a serious misdemeanour.
