June 21, 201214 yr people have been playing this game for years, they find a loophole and exploit it......the taxman then closes the loophole.....clever accountants then find a new loophole and so on and so forth. The fact that our tax system seems to be so complex certainly doesn't seem to help, the more complex anything is, the easier it is to do workarounds and find loopholes. I'm not sure how we go about making it more simple though

June 21, 201214 yr I dont see what he has done wrong, to be labelled as the equivalent of a benefit cheat is bang out of order, he has done nothing illegal and each one of us would do the same should we find a legal way of paying less tax

The point is that Carr makes fun of Barclays Bank's tax avoidance and his fans lap it up. Like he has now said he made a "terrible error od judgement". Now that is funny.
