We are all dreaming, well the optomist aidiotst us, but in reality even I an eternal optomist is beginning to worry about this coming season, yes all the right noises are being spouted, but then retracted, sound familiar, as ever we are being herded into bullshit territory, dunno if it is the Bolton News trying to fit in, or the club, either way some fucker is conning the good folk of Bolton into buying a S/T and it stinks, too many false dawns, rant over.

More auto correct nonsense: amo ngst (without the space in the middle) comes out as aidiotst.

I stand corrected Sir.

It's business as usual and just what I expected, we will lose one or two of our better players and sign a couple of players, my guess is Mark Davies and LCY out and as we know coming in Andrews, Lonergan, Mills and Sanchez or players of a similar standard, don't expect many more players coming in on top of these.

Most people seem to be not arsed about Mavies going for the right money, but for with those signings coming in we would have a very strong champo team.

Whether that translates to a successful season is another question.

Also, don'r forget we will have a few loans.

I think it'll be a difficult season, its supposed to be a highly competitive league, etc. with the exception of 1 or 2 new faces, it'll still be the same underperforming/disinterested squad as last season. As for the loans, i'd rather have premiership players that have a point to prove or have promise and need experience than players in the same league.

But im usually wrong

Thought that the idea was to sign "exciting, young" players to quote our leader.

Don't see any of the new ones in that category.

I see we are also negotiating to bring in Miyaichi from Arsenal for another year.

Besidesat Millwall, I thought that he was very disappointing last time round.

Would sooner give one of our own young ones like Lester game time.

Still 2 months (or more ?) of the transfer window to go. We still have one in this league, don't we ?

Wait till the last couple of days - then we'll get a move on.

Pre-season training starts soon ? What's that got to do with anything ? We're BWFC.

What promises are being broken? We've gone down and are keeping the majority of our players. We are going to sign a couple cheaply, what did you expect?

We have no money. We will be more than competitive in a league lacking quality. Trouble will start if we manage to go back up!

This time last year I got loads of grief off some on here for preaching doom and gloom about the signings and the way I saw the season panning out.

Take no credit whatsoever in the fact I was probably right, but there is a nagging worry about this coming season, please people tell me I am wrong.

Btw bought 4 season tickets unlike last year and will be at a lot of away games this time.

it will be very tough next seson. 8,9 even 10 teams will think they're in with a chance of automatic promotion. it will be much harder to go up from the championship than it was to stay up in the premier league - fact!

People keep throwing up all the cliches about this league....tough league to get out of etc.

We have a really good squad for this level. We should be optimistic about getting promoted. With our current squad we will piss it.

Sylvain ebanks blake has been top scorer at this level twice, and he's shite. Vaz te was a superstar at this level.

How hard can it be really...?

There are some decent teams but there is also some dross. You don't get punished as easily in this league. It is competitive but quality prevails.

As it stands, I think we will get out of this league, keeping LCY and Holden is imperative though.

Lose these two, then it could be a bumpy ride.

I also think Kevin Davies could be key for us despite folk seeming to write him off.

I think it's mentally tough the "gruelling" schedule - midweeks - shitty away grounds - players kicking you etc etc last year was one of the weakest in a mard sense teams I've seen in 30 years - we put that right we've every chance we don't and we'll get our bellies tickled

The one positive you can take from last seasons campaign going into this is our record against teams of similar quality. From Wolves, Blackburn, QPR, Wigan and Villa we picked up 22 points from a possible 30. if nothing else it shows we can beat teams around our level and it showed that we did have a lack of quality to pick points up against the BPL top teams.

We show signs that we are keeping the majority of the starting 11 from last season and adding to the squad with permanent and loans so at this point it looks reasonably positive.

I don't think we will walk the league but we should challenging in and around the top 6

Actually its the opposite.

Anybody can beat anybody in any championship game.

There sno dross and theres no bankers

Our current squad should be more than capable of ensuring we are in the top 6 all season......if we were to lose a couple of the "key players" (Holden and CYL) then itmight prove to be a bit more difficult. There are a lot of games to get in, so provided we don't go breaking anymore legs I reckon we'll be OK

note though, most of the noises are made by us, the fans, in threads about who we should and shouldn't be signing

when they don't come to fruition, it's not the club retracting anything

other than that, what noises?

I hope that I am wrong but I think its going to be very tough this season and I can't see us getting automatic as things stand.

Alot of teams that have been in the prem a while go down and find it hard to bounce straight back up(boro, charlton etc).

If I was offered a play off place now I would probably take it.

Depends on the squad that begins the season and Owen coyle`s managerial skills?????????

. As it stands I believe Bolton wont lose more than three games all season.

Bit of a brave statement, I can see us losing much more than three games, Coyles lack of a plan B will see to that.

Kinell! I agree with Alf!!!! :shok:

I think we can bounce back first time, either top two or through play offs.I dont think league is as tough as some say it is, otherwise how did southampton and norwich manage to go straight up after promotion from the first division?
