For of the clubs academy players have signed professional terms and have been issued squad numbers for the new season.

Congratulations to Jay Lynch, Sanmi Odelusi, Alex McQuade and Andy Kellett.

Meanwhile free agent 19-year-old Joe McKee has also signed following his release from Burnley.

Congratulations to Jay Lunch,

When he eventually leaves us we're bound to get a fee for him. After all, there's no such thing as a free Lunch.

I'll get me scarf

You don't think our incumbent young goalkeeper would benefit more from being backed up by an experienced player who knows the club inside out, rather than a bloke from Leeds who doesn't know Adam from, er, Adam and just wants his place in the team?

In Coyle's first summer we had Robinson, Taylor, Elmander, Petrov, Gardner, Knight, Davies, Jaaskelainen, Klasnic, Blake and Davis all 30+ or within a season of turning 30.

Now we've got Petrov, Davies, Ricketts, Knight and Keith Andrews past 30, with only Tyrone Mears turning 30 anytime soon.

we've got a reasonably young squad,we need to throw in some age and experience in the mix for whats going to be a very long season, the buys so far have been decent so far, and i don't think we;re done yet

wages were the issue, not age.

30 is hardly old.

It was working (if you ignore the £20m+ losses each season).

Ignoring the 20m losses each season

it still wasn't working, hence the 95% of bolton fans spending the entire game, every game demanding hes sacked
