Members bolty58
Burnley must have released that kid because he was obviously too good for them. We passed up on Alan Ball because he was too small. Clubs drop bollocks. Let's be glass half full men eh?

In Coyle's first summer we had Robinson, Taylor, Elmander, Petrov, Gardner, Knight, Davies, Jaaskelainen, Klasnic, Blake and Davis all 30+ or within a season of turning 30. Now we've got Petrov, Davies, Ricketts, Knight and Keith Andrews past 30, with only Tyrone Mears turning 30 anytime soon.
Guest Frandsen08
we've got a reasonably young squad,we need to throw in some age and experience in the mix for whats going to be a very long season, the buys so far have been decent so far, and i don't think we;re done yet

enzo gambaro
wages were the issue, not age. 30 is hardly old. It's hardly a sustainable way of running a football club either.
Site Supporter HomerJay Posted July 6, 2012 Site Supporter Share Posted July 6, 2012 (edited) worked ok before megson. yes i know times have changed. anyway coyle sign petrov and blake. he resigned gardner matt taylor is only 30 now elmander turned 31 a month ago. im just not sure why coyle is banging on about age. oh yes, its because he doesnt know his arse from his elbow. enzo gambaro
worked ok before megson. There's little or no re-sale value in players over 30. Pre-Megson, we were paying big wages to players we were never going to see a financial return on. That isn't working okay, that's suicide. Whites man
It was working (if you ignore the £20m+ losses each season).
Garrp
It was working (if you ignore the £20m+ losses each season). Ignoring the 20m losses each season it still wasn't working, hence the 95% of bolton fans spending the entire game, every game demanding hes sacked
Whites man
It was working (if you ignore the £20m+ losses each season & the fact we were in the bottom 3 & couldn't beat a poor Hull team at home).
